I am a freelance Italian to English translator based in Italy, specialising in business, education and law. I am a native speaker of English - I was born and grew up in the UK -, who has become fluent and competent in Italian further to studying Italian at degree level and then moving to Italy in 1996.

Prior to embarking on a freelance career in 2010, I acquired practical experience in different sectors, working for a manufacturer of numeric controls, an institute of design, a pharmaceutical company, a manufacturer of car parts and a biotechnology company operating in the veterinary health sector. Among my duties in these companies, I was responsible for translating legal/scientific/financial/commercial documentation, letters and marketing materials, language coaching and interpreting.

In 2013, I completed MA degree in legal translation (Italian into English) at City University London. The degree course enabled me to further develop my legal language and translation skills, and to enhance my specialised knowledge and competence in various legal genres.
