We're a husband (French Canadian) and wife (Russian) translation team. We live in Quebec (the French part of Canada, for those not well-versed in geography :) ), and spend at least a month every year in Moscow (the one in Russia :) ). So between the two of us, we speak English, French and Russian natively and are intimately familiar with both Western and Eastern European culture. Which means we can supply you with high-quality translations between any of these languages. Most translators don't speak both the source
and target language natively. We do. So none of the original's linguistic and cultural nuances will get "lost in translation". We also always work as a team, cross-checking each other's work, because a person will sometimes miss their own mistakes. So with us, you're basically getting two translators for the price of one. This site restricts members to two native languages, which is why we only have English and French up there.
We also do audio recordings in English and French (male voice only). Our English recordings are usually in the North American style, but we can also supply them in the UK style. Not exactly like a British citizen, but reasonably close. French can be done in the Quebec or European styles. We have our own recording equipment and editing software.
We have a wide range of interests and knowledge on various subjects, so we can translate text on most themes. Some which we're particularly skilled at are: product/service marketing/promotion (including copywriting while starting from a rough draft in any of our native languages), website localization, computer game and software localization, CVs (while going over the details with you "live" and improving it with culturally appropriate suggestions, if you wish), official documents (birth certificates, diplomas, etc.).
We can also act as an interpreting liaison (write eMails, chat, make phone calls for you) with customers, suppliers, etc. in North America, Europe and the Former Soviet Union countries.
We don't use translation software or any other automated "shortcuts", simply stringing together bits of pre-translated text. We do all the work ourselves, by hand, taking the context of every sentence into consideration. Of course, that requires more time, but the end result is far superior. Your final text will look like it was written by a human native speaker, rather than a computer or a translator with a poor understanding of the target language's structure. We see that often, in instruction manuals especially, and don't wish to contribute to the problem. We'll take the time to actually learn about your product or service.
So if you want to present the best possible image to your customers, rather than come across as a second-rate operation that can't afford a decent translator, we can help you. Or if you have a "literary" style or technical text that needs translating. Even though our translations are of high quality, our prices are still reasonable. That's because our ambition isn't to earn as much per hour as possible… but to produce results that we can be proud of while making a decent living.
We won't try to dazzle you with fancy diplomas or certificates either. We know from experience (are regularly given text to correct that was produced by certified translators… full of errors) that they mean little. That's because we only translate between the three languages we speak natively, which we know inside out, instead of simply using memorized rules.

The numerous examples on our Freelance.ru page make it obvious that we're competent translators who produce above average results. Our translations are almost always better than the original text.
Rates shown above are for simple to moderately complex text, working within our usual deadlines. Very complex text costs extra. We'll gladly accommodate rush and/or weekend orders if our availability allows it, at extra cost, of course. We'll quote you an exact price and delivery date after you send us the source file.
We make it a point of honour to always deliver work before the promised deadline. And we can handle large volume projects, as long as it's possible to deliver them in the best possible quality within the time given. We won't take a job which can only be done in barely acceptable quality, as many others do. Payment terms to be discussed according to type and size of project. We accept PayPal, Western Union and MoneyGram (as well as WebMoney for clients in Russia and surrounding countries).
