As a native Serbian speaker, I am well versed in Croatian and Bosnian as well. My education is rooted in linguistics with English as my major language during elementary and high school, where I was placed in a specialized philology class. I took Scandinavian studies as my major at the University in Belgrade, with Norwegian as the main language; but I am also able to work on translation projects with Swedish and Danish as source languages.
I started my career working as a language tutor for adults in several private language schools. I started translating resumes and other documents for my students and occasionally received small translation projects outsourced by my colleagues. Soon, I started collaborating with an agency based in the USA as an associate linguist handling translation of medical records of American citizens working in Norway. What came as a new experience with this company was the new skill of proofreading and copyediting I perfected during the last three years. I am able to do proofreading and copyediting in English, Serbian, Bosnian, Croatian, Norwegian, Danish and Swedish.
Apart from medical records, I have also worked on various official documents, general content, personal correspondence and literally works from and to the aforementioned languages.
