My name is Witold Lampe and I am a freelancer since 1992.
I'm well versed in most IT/PC/WWW areas (localizations included), as well as in general/popular science and business/politics/economics.


In the 1980/90s I studied astrophysics and then philosophy at the Warsaw University. I still remain a PC/IT, SF and general science enthusiast. Politics/economics fits well into my scope of interest, too.

Apart from many small jobs like business contracts, construction bids/specs and a Turkey travel guide, I have translated into Polish two ample IT books first published by O'Reilly ("HTML: The Definitive Guide" and "Java Web Services") as well as the astronomical entries for a Polish edition of Hutchinson Enc.

I've made Polish texts for a hundred plus various films by the Discovery Channel and Animal Planet.

I've done also several consecutive and simultanous interpretations, mainly Russian/Polish in science/business/politics area.

Maybe it is a good place to mention also some conference proceedings translations for the Institute For Political Studies of Polish Academy of Sciences (ISP PAN).
