These heavy duty UV Coaters offer automated, protective lamination for digital images and are ideal for high production sign & display houses providing a perfect match for a wide range of printing technologies including inkjet & UV flatbed printers. The AS 60 & 80UV Pro coaters are relatively easy to run. Simply insert the image and in seconds it is evenly protected with a scratch-resistant, water-resistant, UV-resistant and image enhancing coating. The machines feature variable production speeds from 6 m - 32 m per minute. An innovative ‘Ultra Violet Dryer ’ assures high speed curing, resulting in a gloss, matt or lustre finish. The AS 60 & 80UV Pro coaters offer unique features such as: an air knife to eliminate roller wraps, larger diameter coating rollers to eliminate roll deflection, adjustable coat weight and a manually adjustable nip with calibrated display for repeatable accuracy. The industry adopted a process- and strategy-driven vision of BI that goes well beyond just delivering reports and measurements to users (see “Gartner's Business Intelligence and Performance Management Framework”). With process-driven BI, reports and analyses are embedded directly within the workflow of a business process. Strategy-driven BI ties BI to corporate planning and performance management efforts. Vendors will use this broader vision of BI in an attempt to increase switching costs and sustain average sales prices on technology that is reaching parity. Also, expect to see increased commingling between BI and business process management (BPM) vendors such as Tibco and BEA Systems. Large application and software infrastructure vendors including Microsoft, Oracle and SAP all significantly increased their focus and competitive strength in the BI platform market. This could trigger other large system vendors such as IBM, HP and Sun to increase their presence in the BI platform market (see “Market for Business Intelligence Platforms: Round Two of Consolidation Begins”). At the same time, numerous "flattening technologies," including Ajax front ends, the MDX query language, in-memory analysis for improved performance and Excel Services for Office integration, have made it easier for software vendors in general to provide BI functionality. The product runs on the Windows platform and has pre-defined integration to the iSeries and Open Systems WMS products. There is no standard integration to the WM for Windows product. The labor product supports discrete labor strandards tracking, multi-variable handicapping, and indirect labor capture. Manhattan relies on consulting partners to provide time-and-motion engineering studies to produce the labor standards that are used in the system. Therefore, every implementation of labor requires a detailed industrial engineering study of warehouse operations. Transportation Manhattan’s transportation offering has grown through their acquisition of LogPro (2000) and Logistics.com (2002). The Logistics.com architecture called LEMA (Logistics Event Management Architecture) is the Manhattan’s go-forward architecture for TMS and other service-oriented supply chain applications. Their transportation solution focuses on shipper functions for load planning, routing planning, carrier execution, and shipment tracking. The Manhattan web site also references TMS a solution for carriers. We have not seen this solution in competitive situations. Demand and Replenishment Planning Manhattan acquired supply chain planning functionality through the 2005 acquisition of Evant. The Evant solution does demand planning through statistical forecasting models. The replenishment planning solution uses statistical methods for positioning inventory and coordinating replenishments in a multi-echelon distribution network. Any product that is not a brand will inherently have limited market appeal. However, brands do not necessarily have to be manufacturer brands. They can also be store brands. And this is what has happened over the last decade as retailers became bigger and more sophisticated and their private labels became more ubiquitous and successful—providing the necessary mass for investments in branding activities. Retailers now position their private labels as brands in their own right. Their store brands are increasingly imbued with emotion and imagery rather than only with the functional logic that dominated private labels a generation ago. In contrast to the traditional generic product, picture Texas grocery chain H-E-B's slender glass bottle of Harvest Moon asparagus spears with an elegant label (a soft crescent moon) that makes the Del Monte canned product sitting next to it look cheap.¹⁷ Or consider Decathlon, a 331-store sports equipment retailer that generates over $3.5 billion in sales.¹⁸ It has increased private label share from 33 percent to over 50 percent in a dozen years.¹⁹Decathlon has developed seven passion brands. The idea behind these own brands is that they are passionate about sports and capture how their customers feel about sports. Each passion brand is developed with a universe in mind. For example, Tribord is all about the water universe focused on sports such as diving, sailing, and surfing, while Quechua targets the mountain universe with sports such as skiing, hiking, and mountain climbing. These are the store brands with which Decathlon is effectively competing against its branded suppliers, like Nike. Perhaps the best example is Swedish home furnishings retailer IKEA, which "has become a curator of people's lifestyle, if not their lives." Many of the 1.1 million customers who visit an IKEA store on an average day consider a store visit fun rather than a chore. IKEA has become an experiential destination, translating into fierce consumer loyalty: "IKEA makes me free to become what I want to be," notes a Romanian customer. And consider a U.S. customer: "Half my house is from IKEA—and the nearest store is six hours away." Given such loyalty, it is not surprising that IKEA's operating margins of 10 percent are among the best in home furnishings and considerably higher than U.S. competitors Pier 1 (5 percent) and Target (8 percent). However, there is still considerable room for growth. This chapter is intended to set the rules for two categories of information with special protection, 'Confidential' and 'Highly Confidential'. 3.1 Confidential 'Confidential' information is generally restricted to those people who 'need to know'. Recipients of confidential information may disclose this information, with their managers' permission only, to other employees or contractual partners who can prove that they need the information. The author of information decides about the classification. Tekst źródłowy - angielski 4.1 Aggressive, Passive and Assertive behaviour A person who is aggressive is focused on what they want but has little concern for the rights and opinions of others. Passive is associated with an inability to express one's needs, wants and desires. There is avoidance of conflict but at the expense of one's own rights or objectives. Both aggressive and passive behaviour have, in the longer term, negative consequences. Aggressive people find that others avoid them and 'close down' in their presence. They have to spend a lot of energy being constantly 'on guard' and ready for conflict. This heightened state of tension may also make them prone to conditions such as high blood pressure or ulcers. Passive people suffer the loss of respect of others and loss of their own self-esteem as they continually submit to the will of others. They also waste energy, in their case in being anxious about possible conflicts. They are often prone to depression and anxiety. Aggressive and passive behaviour are also associated with what is known as 'irrational thinking patterns.' That is thoughts or beliefs that are not practical or useful when dealing with other people. These beliefs create negative, unproductive emotions that inhibit the ability to act in a constructive way. They include: 1. Demands — believing that things have to be a particular way. This causes problems because it is not usually possible to control other people or the way they are. Of course it is right and proper to work towards change but demanding that something changes when it isn't going to leads to anger and frustration when the world doesn't behave as it should behave. The remedy to making demands is to express preferences e.g. mentally thinking "I would like" or "I would prefer" rather than "I must" or "They should." 2. Avoiding responsibility — placing the responsibility for things going wrong onto another person. An example of this would be the person who says, "you make me angry", or "you will make me angry if you talk to me about (x)", whereas of course the person has the responsibility to choose their actions and we have the responsibility to choose our response. The remedy to avoiding responsibility is to accept responsibility e.g. "I chose to allow X to happen" rather than "they made me do X" 3. Over Generalisations — thinking that the occurrence of one event will mean that things will always be a particular way. So in this case one swallow does make a summer. Unwarranted generalisations lead to feelings of frustration, worry and helplessness. The remedy to over generalisations is to be specific e.g. changing "they always get that wrong" to "they made that mistake three times last week." 4. Catastrophisation — thinking that some event is awful or disastrous. Leading to anxiety and despair. The remedy for Catastrophisation is to keep a sense of proportion e.g. saying, "this is embarrassing but I will survive" rather than "this is the end of the world." Для агрессивного и пассивного типов поведения характерны явления, именуемые «иррациональными мыслительными матрицами». Так называют неконструктивные мысли или установки, которые негативно сказываются на общении с другими людьми. Подобные установки порождают отрицательные, непродуктивные эмоции, которые лишают человека способности действовать конструктивно. Такими матрицами являются следующие: 1. Притязания — уверенность в том, что дела должны обстоять именно так, и никак иначе.
