Thank you for taking the time to see my professional profile. My name is Carlos Ruiz. I am a native Spanish speaker from Monterrey, Mexico, currently living in Houston, Texas. I am passionate about learning and connecting people from different languages and cultures, and for the past 13 years I have had the fortune to do both at a professional level as a translator and interpreter. As your language services provider, I will help you to reach and connect to your end target in a timely and effective manner, and to keep them engaged and in love with your brand and product.

During my career as a translator, I have provided creative translation and proofreading at the largest independent Hispanic advertising agency in the U.S. This took the form of print, out-of-home, direct marketing, point-of-sale, digital, radio and TV copy, and public relations releases for brands like Verizon, Samsung, Walmart, Bank of America, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, MassMutual, Sonic Drive-In restaurants, the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF), and many others. Other exciting work I have done has been for the Houston Super Bowl Host Committee and the NCAA Men’s Final Four (proprietary copy). I have also translated educational materials for The Family Dynamics Institute, technical manuals for General Electric Canada (samples upon request), and I also collaborated in translating the Southern California Edison and RBFF websites.

As an interpreter, I have professional experience as a medical and community interpreter (simultaneous and consecutive), and I have been providing simultaneous interpretation for the Houston Greater Church for the past 10 years as a volunteer.
