I'm a native English speaker, based in SE England, with BSc in Electronics, (with technical German option), plus eight years' professional experience in electronics industry.
I also have a PhD in computational linguistics (automatic speech recognition) and 20+ years' experience in academic and commercial research covering automatic speech recognition, programming in C/C++, speech perception, computer animation, linguistic theory, and acoustic phonetics. I have several publications in these fields.
I have been a Translation Tutor for German-to-English on the University College London MSc in Technical Translation since October 2007. (Formerly at Imperial College until Oct 1st 2013) With German to British Insitute of Linguists' Intermediate Standard and 15 years' freelance experience all told, I offer high-quality, on-time translation of patents,technical documents, scientific papers, as well as contracts and general documents from German, French and Russian to English.
