This panel will focus on issues related to the topic of MT postediting. The panel is moderated by Jeff Allen who has worked extensively on this topic for the past 2 decades. Several other expert panelists involved in MT postediting will participate in this panel.

Specific topics to be addressed are:
  • What is Postediting, or what are the different variants of Postediting?
  • Is MT Postediting a man vs machine issue, or can they be compatible?
  • The translation job boards are being hit with many MT Postediting jobs, but many freelancers are complaining about serious qualities issues with the translated output that requires full retranslation. What do panelists think about this?
  • MT tools have fallen behind for many years with regard to major jumps in MT postediting functionality. What is being done to address this?
