There has been discussion concerning this event elsewhere and the ProZ.com site team would like to clarify a few things:
The number of attendees, at this point, is not what was anticipated or planned for.
Nevertheless, ProZ.com is guaranteeing, at its expense, that all agreements made with speakers, vendors, the hotel, etc., will be honored.
We still expect that the event will be a great one; the speakers are excellent, and we are seeing a good deal of excitement for the content and networking opportunity.
There will be generous promotion of the event over the coming week, and as a result of that and the outstanding program and venue, we expect a good number of attendees to be added by next weekend.
We would like to thank the attendees and speakers who have made this event possible through their commitment and support. We appreciate the efforts over the past year of the local organizers, we congratulate them on the fantastic program they have put together, and we look forward to an enjoyable and productive event for all concerned.

Além disso, Recife também irá receber a Copa das Confederações, em 2013, e a Copa do Mundo de Futebol, em 2014.
Pensando nesta demanda de oportunidades que estão surgindo neste "BOOM" no desenvolvimento, o mercado está exigindo mais Tradutores e Intérpretes capacitados, atualizados, e de olho nesta internacionalização, a Organização do Proz.com decidiu privilegiar o Nordeste do Brasil e realizar a V Conferência Brasileira de Tradutores do Proz.com, com o tema INTERNACIONALIZAÇÃO, em Recife.
Será um imenso prazer receber tradutores e intérpretes de todas as partes do país e da America Latina para a conferência, que será um marco em atualização profissional e acadêmica para todos os participantes.
