A female who is a claimant. Do we translate it as المدعي or المدعية

I am translating a document which has a legal context and the claimant is a lady. My question is, do we translate claimant as المدعية or المدعي?

I have done an extensive search for the term "مدعية" and the vast majority is in reference to either attorney general, public prosecutor or district attorney.

In the current document of the project, the term claimant is repeated 200 times.

What would be the general rule of thumb, if any? Or is i... See more

ولو أردتِ الخروج من مأزق التشابة بين كلمة المدعي (رافع الدعوى أما القضاء) وبين كلمة المدعي العام/العمومي، يمكن إبدال كلمة "المدعي" (صاحب الدعوى) بكلمة الشاكي (في مقابل المشكو في حقه) أو الطرف الأول ... لكن لا أرى مانعًا في ترجمة صاحب الدعوى (إن كانت امرأة) بكلمة "المدعية" حتى وإن كان بالنص كلمة المدعي العام أو العمومي

أما في المناصب القضائية كمنصب المدعي العام يجوز استخدام صيغة المذكر وإن كان شاغل المنصب امرأة تأسيسًا على أن المنصب منصب اعتباري ...ز فتكون صيغة المذكر هي الصيغة المحايدة ويسري معناها على الإناث والذكور سواء ▲ Collapse

لتوضيح السياق، تطالب المدعية بساعات إضافية للخدمات في الرعاية المنزلية والتي تتجاوز الساعات المسموح بها حسب مقاييس الجهات الرسمية المختصة.
