Why do I receive the notifications on Glossary-building questions repeatedly?

Probably for the same reason I either don't receive them or I receive them the next day...

On your profile page:
Settings tab>KudoZ dashboard menu in the left pane
There you can disable any e-mail notifications that are of no interest to you.

It's good for the planet.

Excuse me? I did not say I want to disable anything. I asked why do I receive messages REPEATEDLY.

Sorry, I thought it was written in Georgian.
Proz.com has been doing maintenance lately.
Be patient.

a wild guess Apr 16, 2020

It could be because the only way for those questions to be closed is after a certain number of peer agreements. Sending messages repeatedly could be a reminder to either contribute an answer or agree with an existing one, so the question can be closed.

Thank you! I have never asked to remind me that.

Perhaps it is because you are special

Seriously, though, can you describe the repetitions in a bit more detail? Do you get the exact same notification several times, or do you get multiple slightly different notifications for the same entries? Do you get these notifications all shortly after one another, or is there a long pause between them?

I am not interested in GBK questions.

I have therefore disabled GBK questions notifications. This works.

Show questions that may offend

Show questions from non-translators
Show questions directed to those who meet certain criteria
Show glossary-building terms
Only COVID-19 questions.

Unfortunately this does not work properly. My choice is only retained while I stay within the KudoZ pages. Whenever I navigate away to another part of the site or close the browser, the box is always checked again when I return to any KudoZ page.

My choices for the first 4 options are always retained no matter what.

The situation is even worse in the new version of the KudoZ interface. The equivalent option to check/uncheck there is Pulled to build glossary. However, even if I uncheck that option, I can't make the GBK questions go away at all.

Just click "Save preferences" button after all settings.
This would help

The two options are

1. View questions
2. View questions (and save settings)

I always choose option 2., but it doesn't work.

Thank you for trying to help, but please read my original post.

I have therefore disabled GBK questions notifications. This works.

The problem relates to the displaying of GBK questions, a different setting on a different page to the one you have posted.

I have exactly the same problem, and I share your concerns.
There must be a way to remove those questions from the customised KudoZ question list page.
