Se pare ca teapa nigeriana (amintita si in alte postari pe ProZ.com), si-a facut aparitia pe piata traducatorilor din/in romana.
Am primit de curand urmatorul mesaj:

Am primit de curand urmatorul mesaj:

Mecanismul este urmatorul: "Clientul" trimite un cec fals intr-o suma mult peste cea stabilita intre parti, rugand destinatarul (victima) sa transfere restul de bani unui partas al "clientului".
Victima depune cecul la banca fara probleme si transfera diferenta (mare), partasului.
Peste cateva zile, banca anunta ca cecul e fals si retrage suma din cont, debitand si diverse cheltuieli si comisioane.
Deci, atentie.
Postez in special pt. a atrage atentia SA NU RASPUNDETI acestor mesaje, sub nici o forma, nici macar in bataie de joc (oricat de tentant ar fi).
O adresa de email confirmata poate fi vanduta multor liste de spamuitori, acesta fiind al doilea obiectiv al tepii.

Da, mi-ar place un voiaj in Romania, cu cazare la un hotel bun, fireste!
As face cu placere interpretariat doua ore la Bucuresti - sau si mai bine, la Sinaia, pentru asta, desi nu mai ofer de multi, multi ani servicii de interpretariat, ceea ce D. "Smith" nu s-a ostenit sa verifice.

Ce bine ca am dat peste thread-ul asta... Phew! Aveam intuitiile mele, in special din cauza englezei f proaste, dar voi mi-ati confirmat!
Se pare ca proz.com nu ma lasa sa postez continutul emailului primit de mine de la acest domn smith, dar este f. similar cu ce se descrie aici. Are o aparenta de a fi ok, dar micile greseli de limba engleza, punerea in pagina neprofesionista, si mai ales plata prin cec mi-au dat de gandit.

Mesajul mi-a fost trimis prin pagina de profil de pe ProZ şi mă miră faptul că autorul nu a remarcat că oraşul afişat la mine nu este Bucureşti, ci Constanţa, dacă voia să pară credibil...

Dupa ce am primit mesajul cu solicitare de interpretariat in Romania (fara a se specifica orasul) - eu locuind in Israel, mi-a fost clar ca e vorba de o difuzare in masa facuta fara nici un discernamant, doar pe baza limbilor de traducere din liste.
De asemenea e clar ca suntem "in focus" (doar n-o sa foloseasca sablonul o singura data) si de aceea mi s-a parut important sa postez.

De obicei, eu nu dau de loc atentie mesajelor care au urmatoarele caracteristici:
- au greseli de ortografie prea multe
- mesajul e suspect de lapidar sau prea lung (gen poveste)
- nu gasesc pe Internet date exacte despre numele persoanei sau al firmei
- nu este mentionat numele firmei, daca e vorba de o firma (s-o pot verifica)
- cer detalii si nu mi se mai raspunde
- mesajele trimise in masa, nepersonalizate (de ce nu a postat la rubrica de jobs?)

Verificaţi-vă setările din profilul dvs. ProZ.com. La General settings > Email preferences aveţi mai multe opţiuni:
- Allow anyone to send me messages via my profile page
- Allow only ProZ.com users who are logged in to send me messages via my profile
- Allow only logged-in ProZ.com members to send me email via my profile page
- Allow no one to send me messages via my profile page
Puteţi să bifaţi oricare dintre aceste opţiuni şi să schimbaţi în orice moment setarea aleasă. Mai mult, membrilor plătitori li se oferă gratuit opţiunea ca mesajele pe care le primesc prin profilul ProZ.com să fie verificate de un angajat al sitului, dacă doresc un asltfel de filtru.
