In 2003, the Aucklanders calculated that the Indo-European language first appeared 8000 to 9500 years ago in Turkey and was probably spread to Europe by farmers. Tot neglijenţă este şi scrisul fără diacritice româneşti. Evident, sunt situaţii de comunicare - chat, e-mail - în care e normal să nu le foloseşti, pentru că asta-i convenţia, în bună parte impusă de limitele sistemului. The Index Translationum is a list of books translated in the world, i.e. an international bibliography of translations. The Index Translationum was created in 1932 and this year is celebrating its 75th anniversary.

The database contains cumulative bibliographical information on books translated and published in about one hundred of the UNESCO Member States since 1979 and totals more than 1.800,000 entries in all disciplines: literature, social and human sciences, natural and exact sciences, art, history and so forth. The Alfred Toepfer Trust and the Goethe Institute have announced the start of the new residential program for foreign translators working on the adaption of German literature into other languages. The first two translators benefiting from the 1.500 Euros support, absorption of travel fees and a small apartment to live and work in this year are from Eastern Europe.
