Compact air conditioner with drain pipe?

English translation:exhaust hose
Explanation:
It all depends on the context! Exactly what type of airconditionjer is this... a one-piece self-contained unit, or a more meaty installation?

My own small, self-contained model does not have an actual condensate drain pipe, and the 'gaine d'évacuation' supplied with it is a hot air exhaust hose (or pipe or duct — again, depends a bit on the exact form it takes) — mine is a flexible plastic pipe about 5" / 125 mm in diameter, rather like the hose found on some tumble-dryers.

-> Thnaks, Alex! Too darn right I am ! It's working flat out, and it's still sweltering in here...

agree  Charles Hawtrey (X): Duct, probably, if it's a fixed setup. Temp about 32deg here in Thames Valley. The dog spends her time in my study, coolest room in the house.

-> Thanks, Charles! Yes, certainly 'duct' if for a fixed installation; hence why more context is vital here!

agree  chris collister: So they don't have a separate condensate outlet? Temp in my grenier/study is 33.4°, but I find a wet T-shirt and fan works OK!

-> Thx, C! No, AFAIk there is just a drip tray to evaporate it (and presumably help maintain humidity) — well, either that, or I'm about to find a big puddle! / Thanks to you, I've just discovered the little bung where I'll clearly need to do a manual dra
