My PC monitor is a Samsung 971P, 19 inches and quite old already but it's got this arm which allows you to turn it any way you like. So I can put it vertical and have like 2 monitors one over the other. http://www.samsung.com/ae/consumer/computers-peripherals/monitors/lcd-monitor/LS19MBXXFV/XSG-gallery

My notebook is 14" which makes it easy to transport and you can also see quite well.

The bigger the better Feb 28, 2012

Hate small monitors. I have a 27" and now am looking to get two monitors side by side. Have seen others with that kind of set up and I love it.

13" Feb 28, 2012

My main (and only) screen is the 13" screen of my MacBook Pro, and I'm more than happy with it. You can't get any more portable AND efficient than that! But, hey, I'm an interpreter (I'm also a translator, for the record, but I'd say that 90% of my time is devoted to interpretation)

VGA 22" + 15" Feb 28, 2012

I like recycling while upgrading.
My 8-year-old 15" flat screen displays reference material (pdf, browser pages, source text in context...). I can't get to throw an even older 17" CRT, claiming emergency backup hardware as an excuse to fill a house with clutter.
My next screen configuration will certainly include a VGA 22" as secondary, and maybe a LED DVI 27" monitor as primary?

Screen space is now cheap enough to allow for laaaaaarge setups. Kudos to Callum with 27

23 inches, both monitors Feb 28, 2012

Size matters, ladies and gentlemen.

Now, having two monitors of the same size, placed at the same height, side by side, is the best configuration. Why?

1. Less eye strain: your eyes do not have to travel up and down or from one side of your desk to the other.
2. Image continuity: both monitors work as one.
3. Attention to content: you won't be distracted by different monitor sizes or positions.
4. Aesthetics: our brains crave for symmetry and balance.

Screen envy Feb 28, 2012

I was happy with my 2 x 19" monitors, but now I'm wondering what life would be like with bigger monitors...
