A very senior translator Mr. Satish Bellavi would be coming all the way from Chennai to attend this Powwow. Could anybody from Pune host him for a day (night of 22nd August 2003). Your early reply would be highly appreciated.

Agenda and stay Jul 29, 2003

Dear Mr. Jaswinder Singh and all those looking at attend the powwow.

The powwow to be held on Saturday, the 23rd August 2003 will not be just another coffee-n-cake powwow. We (BITS with valuable assistance and guidance from Viva Associates and Shekhar Phatak) are looking at having a good interactive session where we would discuss the various issues that affect us, the way we work, the quality of it and any other issue that any of you may propose. The powwow to be held on Saturday, the 23rd August 2003 will not be just another coffee-n-cake powwow. We (BITS with valuable assistance and guidance from Viva Associates and Shekhar Phatak) are looking at having a good interactive session where we would discuss the various issues that affect us, the way we work, the quality of it and any other issue that any of you may propose. Mr. Bagri is coming all the way from Bangalore and has agreed to speak on quality control and we have another far-off visitor from Chennai in the form of Mr. Satish Bellavi.

As far as accommodation goes, we will try to host as many participants as we can. Should we however fall short of volunteers, we can arrange for a nights stay in some hotel depending on your budget.

Since the venue can be decided only after we have a near accurate estimate of the number of participants (it now looks that we could have in the excess of 30 participants), we have decided to have a cut-off date for confirming your participation. why blue board for Indian agencies Aug 21, 2003

I would like to pose this question on this occassion
why some of the leading concerns
are on blue board as they fail to pay the genuine translator?

Tina here , guess you have to be smart enough to pick the right choice.
Ofcourse blueboard also alerts such malpractices, at one instance they had removed one of the companies "Podatrans", from proz.com, as many translators and agencies had experienced bad with them.
I disagree your comments, at this moment, as the blueboard /moderators feels that comments from the translator/agency is necessary for them to take any actions,
