Source text - German Im Zuge des Vorhabens wurden umfassende Ölflussmessungen an den Wälzlagertypen Zylinderrollen-, Vierpunkt-, Rillen- und Schrägkugellager sowie Pendelrollen- und Kegelrollenlager mit den Bohrungsdurchmessern 80, 100 und 150 mm durchgeführt. Es wurden Kennlinienversuche in Abhängigkeit der Drehzahl bzw. Ölviskosität sowie Kennfeldversuche vorgenommen. Bei den Kennfeldversuchen wurde der Durchfluss in Abhängigkeit von Drehzahl, Überlaufhöhe, Wellenschrägstellung und Ölzuführviskosität bestimmt.
Die Maximaldrehzahl bei den Kennlinienversuchen betrug je nach Lagertyp mit 100 mm Wellendurchmesser 6.000 bis 8.000 U/min und lag damit deutlich über der vom Hersteller angegebenen Grenzdrehzahl sowie der Bezugs- bzw. Referenzdrehzahl für das jeweilige Lager.
Kennlinienversuche an Lagern mit 150 mm Bohrungsdurchmesser konnten bis zu einer Maximaldrehzahl von 6.000 U/min durchgeführt werden, bei Lagern mit 80 mm Bohrungsdurchmesser bis 10.000 U/min.
Translation - English In the course of the project, comprehensive measurements of oil flow were carried out on the following types of bearings: cylindrical roller bearings, four-point contact, deep groove, and angular contact ball bearings, and spherical roller and tapered roller bearings with bore diameters of 80, 100, and 150 mm. Characteristic tests were conducted of flow in relation to rotational speed and oil viscosity. Multi-characteristic tests were also conducted in which the flow was determined in relation to rotational speed, overflow height, shaft inclination, and oil feed viscosity.
For bearings with a shaft diameter of 100 mm, the maximum rotational speed for the characteristic tests was between 6000 to 8000 RPM depending on the bearing type, which was significantly higher than both the limiting speed specified by the manufacturer and the reference speed for the bearing.
Characteristic tests could be carried out up to a maximum speed of 6000 RPM on bearings with bore diameter of 150 mm, and up to 10,000 RPM on bearings with bore diameter of 80 mm.

Nachhaltigkeit in der Holzerntetechnologie
Konventionell skandinavische Forstmaschinentechnologie hat ökonomische Maßstäbe für die Bewirtschaftung Mitteleuropäischer Wälder gesetzt. Trotz zahlreicher Adaptionen wurde diese Technologie bis heute nicht ausreichend an staunässegeprägte, befahrungssensible Standorte angepasst.
Dabei sind die als eingeschränkt oder nicht befahrbar geltende Waldflächen keine Seltenheit. Zudem führen wärmere Winter zu kürzeren Frostperioden, meist begleitet durch höhere Niederschläge.
Bisher fehlt eine ökonomische und gleichzeitig nachhaltige Erntetechnologie für befahrungskritische Weich- und Normalbodenstandorten.

Sustainability in timber harvesting technology
Conventional forestry vehicle technology from Scandinavia has set the standard for economical logging in the forests of central Europe. Despite many adaptations, this technology has still not been sufficiently modified to meet the requirements of waterlogged locations sensitive to vehicle traffic.
Yet forested areas where heavy vehicle access is limited or impossible are not uncommon. Moreover, warmer winters are resulting in shorter frost seasons, usually accompanied by higher precipitation.
Up until now there was a lack of economical yet sustainable harvesting technology for traffic-critical soft-soil and normal-soil sites.

High-performance modules for top photovoltaic system yields
Alongside the standard solar cells made from polycrystalline, monocrystalline or amorphous silicon, there is a range of cell types using special manufacturing technologies which achieve higher levels of efficiency than conventional cells.
In addition to very good yields in low light conditions and reduced loss of performance at high temperatures, these modules provide significantly better rates of roof space utilisation than standard modules. This feature is particularly appealing when roof space is relatively limited, as in the case of most residential houses and buildings with flat roofs. HIP modules from Sanyo, for example, require just 6 m² of roof space per kWp installed.

Homologation

Le fournisseur ne doit présenter un produit à l'homologation que lorsqu'il estime que celui-ci satisfait aux prescriptions du présent document. Il communique, alors, à l’opérateur ferroviaire client, les résultats des essais effectués.
L'acceptation par l’opérateur ferroviaire client du lancement de la fabrication de série est subordonnée à l'homologation provisoire, laquelle n'est prononcée que si la conclusion des essais de type définis dans le Tableau 1 et réalisés sur les vitrages têtes de série, est positive.

Approval
The approval procedure is defined in the standard NF F 00-800.
The supplier must not submit a product for approval until the supplier deems it to satisfy the requirements of this document. The supplier shall then inform the customer rail operator of the results of the tests conducted.
The customer rail operator's assent to the start-up of full-scale production is conditional on provisional approval, which shall not be granted unless the type tests specified in Table 1 are successfully conducted on the first glass units produced.
If the supplier wishes to use a different technology, composition, material or production process, the supplier must notify the customer rail operator who will then decide whether or not to carry out a new approval process.
