Source text - English The foundations are conscious that the full responsibility of dementia care cannot be abdicated to informal carers and the professional care sector. So as to contribute to a better quality of life for people living with dementia, civil society at local level should also participate, not only by informing and educating, or by conveying a different, more balanced view of dementia, but also by supporting people at local level to take responsibility for the way people with dementia are integrated in and supported by society.
Translation - Slovak Nadácie sú si vedomé, že plná zodpovednosť v oblasti starostlivosti o ľudí trpiacich demenciou nemôže byť presunutá len na neformálnych opatrovateľov a profesionálny systém starostlivosti. Preto je potrebné zapojiť občiansku spoločnosť na miestnej úrovni za účelom zlepšenia kvality života ľudí trpiacich demenciou: a to nielen poskytovaním informácií a vzdelávaním ľudí či sprostredkovávaním iného, viac vyváženého pohľadu na demenciu, ale aj podporou ľudí na miestnej úrovni, aby vzali na seba zodpovednosť za spôsob, akým sú ľudia s demenciou integrovaní a podporovaní v spoločnosti.

Source text - Slovak Dolar se dnes marně pokouší prorazit hladinu 1,471 USD/EUR. Hned dopoledne oslabil a testoval tuto úroveň. Hladina 1,471 USD/EUR je ovšem velmi dobře opevněná a nedaří se ji prorazit ani při enormním tlaku. V pozadí dnešního oslabování přitom nestálo rozhodnutí spekulantů udělat si zářez, že byla proražena další bariéra, nýbrž úrokový diferenciál vztažený k riziku. Při pohledu na nízké úrokové sazby a vrtkavost dolaru (měřenou směrodatnou odchylkou kurzu) vychází všem spekulantům jako zajímavé zadlužit se v dolarech, ty prodat a ihned částku investovat v některé lépe úročené měně. Konzervativnější hráči sází třeba na australský dolar, ti odvážnější na brazilský real nebo jihoafrický rand. Vzhledem k tomu, že argumenty v neprospěch dolaru jsou z pohledu krátkodobých spekulantů zásadní a obavy z oživení ekonomik ve tvaru W klesají, lze předpokládat, že hladina 1,471 brzo padne. To otevře stavidla dalšímu znehodnocení dolaru až k metě 1,500 USD/EUR. Dlouhodobě z pohledu několika měsíců tedy sázíme na pohyb dolaru v podobě převráceného písmena „J“. To znamená, že stále sázíme na posílení dolaru v průběhu příštího roku.
Translation - English The dollar was trying in vain to break the level of 1.471 USD/EUR today. It weakened first thing in the morning and tested that region. The level of 1.471 USD/EUR is however very resistant and, even with much pressure, there was no breakthrough. Today’s weakening wasn’t due to the aim of speculators to break through another barrier, but rather the underlying cause was the gap between interest rate differentials and perceived risk. When speculators look at the low interest rates and the dollar volatility (measured by the standard deviation of the exchange rate), they find it profitable to borrow dollars, sell them and then invest a chunk in another currency with more attractive interest rates. The more conservative players take on the Australian dollar, the braver ones wage their bets on the Brazilian real or South African rand. Considering that the arguments against the dollar are significant in the eyes of short-term speculators, and as the fears of a double-dip economic recovery are subsiding, we can expect the level of 1.471 to fall imminently. This will open the flood gates to a further devaluation of the dollar to the level of 1.500 USD/EUR. From the next few months’ perspective, we are predicting the dollar to follow an upside-down “J” shape curve. That is – we are still betting on a strengthening dollar over the upcoming year.

Durio zibethinus, a tropical fruit notorious for its taste and smell, either or both of which may provoke reactions ranging from revulsion to adulation.
The large oval fruit grows on a tall tree native to W. Malaysia and cultivated elsewhere in SE Asia. ‘Duri’ is the Malay word for spike, and the tree takes its name from the hard, spiky shell which the fruit develops. A full-grown fruit may weigh 2 kg (5lb) or more. Since the tree may be as high as 30 m and the fruit drops off when ripe, it is wise to take care when walking near such trees in the durian season. Death by durian is not uncommon. (Another hazard at this time is the appeal the fallen, split fruit has for tigers and other wild animals.)
A durian in the ripening stage changes rapidly. While still on the tree it develops its famous odour, which has prompted many people to search for an accurate description. Comparisons have been made with the civet cat, sewage, stale vomit, onions, and cheese; while one disaffected visitor to Indonesia declared that the eating of the flesh was not much different from having to consume used surgical swabs.

Durio zibethinus, tropické ovocie, ktoré je (zlo)povestné svojou chuťou a zápachom, z ktorých či už jedno alebo obe vyvolávajú reakcie od úplného odporu až po zbožňovanie.
Toto veľké oválne ovocie rastie na vysokých stromoch, ktoré majú pôvod v západnej Malajzii (teda na Malajskom polostrove) a sú pestované po celej juhovýchodnej Ázii. „Duri“ je malajské slovo, ktoré znamená tŕň alebo osteň a strom je pomenovaný podľa tvrdej ostnatej kôry, ktorou sa ovocie obaľuje. Dozretý plod môže vážiť až 2 kg a viac. Strom dorastá až do výšky 30 metrov a po dozretí ovocie samovoľne opadáva a preto sa odporúča dávať pozor pri prechádzaní okolo durianovníkov v čase ich sezóny. Usmrtenie padajúcim durianom nie je neobvyklé. (Ďalšie riziko počas sezóny durianov je ich neodolateľná sila, ktorú má padnuté a rozpoltené ovocie na tigre a ostatné divé zvery.)
Durian sa vo svojej dozrievajúcej fáze veľmi rýchlo mení. Ešte počas dozrievajúcej fázy na strome si vytvára svoj známy zápach, ktorý primäl pokúsiť sa nájsť vhodný opis. Tento zápach bol prirovnaný k cibetke, stoke, zatuchnutým zvratkám, cibuli či syru; jeden nie príliš nadšený návštevník Indonézie dokonca podotkol, že konzumácia tohto ovocia sa až tak veľmi nelíši od nútenej konzumácie použitých chirurgických tampónov.

And those seeking omens, even at this relatively early stage of the competition, will recall United overcoming Real in the semi-final on the way to winning their first European Cup in 1968 at Wembley, where this season's final will be played.
Translation - Slovak Návšteva United na štadióne Santiaga Bernabeu a návrat na Old Trafford vyvolá mnoho spomienok. A tí, ktorí sledujú znamenia, i v tejto relatívne skorej časti súťaže, si spomenú ako United zdolal Real v semifinále na ceste za výhrou Európskeho pohára v roku 1968 na Wembley, kde sa odohrá aj tohtoročné finále.
