8 years living and working in Munich, Germany as a freelence translator and teacher.
In recent years a great deal of translation work has evolved through my teaching.
Now approaching 9 years living in Munich, Germany, I have solid translation experience with
the Hochschule Munich, translating presentations for Faculties as part of an increased drive to recruit more international students; translation of a modular handbook for the Faculty for Industrial Engineering to be used to enhance the image of the Faculty where I teach; an application for accredidation for the Master programme and profiles of professors for general
purposes.
While teaching English in the Industrial Engineering Faculty at the University I have gained
widespread knoweledge in this field, and this has led to translation of Patent claims in this field.
Other experience includes working for congress/event organisers (e.g. Interplan and Serviceplan) carrying out translations through German Society for Thoraic and Cardiovascular
Surgery as well as powerpoint presentations and invitations.
I have also translated 2 German footbal autobiographies into English.
Interpreting work with Stadtwerke Kiel and through American Express.
My pricing is fair and as I am used to working to tight deadlines I always deliver on time. I am also both organised and reliable, skills which I have honed within the classroom environment while also working as a freelance teacher and coach, and I very much enjoy working with languages. Moreover my British sense of humour helps me go about my daily business in a more relaxed way. |
