Pursuant to the 21 March 2011 announcement you received informing you of our upcoming software implementation of SAP, we would like to provide further detail and reiterate changes you will experience as a result of this implementation including a temporary disruption of services.
This project will affect some of the ways we interact with you and your team. Our goal is to ensure that these changes are adopted with as little impact to you and your business as possible. Still, you will notice a few process changes once we transition to SAP on 6 June 2011
Key Changes
• A new Customer Account number will be communicated to you by 15 May 2011
• You will receive forms in a new format containing the same information you receive today
Examples:
Order Acknowledgement
Export Documentation
• New invoicing enhancements including e-invoicing (PDF-invoicing)
o There will be a new invoice format with the ability to receive invoices via email, fax, mail, and/or pull documents from an online invoice database.
• Payments: Customers in some countries will receive a new remit-to address
• New bank account information for Levi Strauss & Co. will be communicated to you in a future communication
• New structure with a single billing entity for Levi Strauss & Co. in Europe
Important Dates:
• 27 May 2011 through 12 June 2011: Blackout Period: As referenced in our 21 March letter, you will experience a disruption of services while we transition to the new SAP system.
• 13 June 2011: We expect to restore all services by this date
Over the next several weeks, we will continue to communicate with you, describing the changes in further detail.
