Source text - English Managing safety at workplaces turns out to be a particularly difficult task in the light of the new European laws, which express the importance of a pro-active approach, the one able to carry out positive results. As a matter of fact, actions limited to a precise outlook on the business environment are not sufficient any longer, while - especially in complex situations as the modern industrial ones, where the most serious criticalities may turn out to be hidden at first sight – it is necessary to spread the knowledge of safety as a life style aiming at planning and managing operations properly.
That necessarily means an in-depth analysis by people involved in the issue – both if they work in firms, and in the surveillance staff - of their own ability to assess plans of managing the activities, before starting to work in the field, in order to stress any need for integration and improvement, taking into account the real criticalities that the analysis allowed to highlight, in order to ensure that the activity will be carried out in compliance with removal and risk reduction solutions previously found out.
Translation - Italian La gestione della sicurezza all'interno dei luoghi di lavoro risulta compito particolarmente delicato alla luce delle nuove normative europee, che estrinsecano l’importanza di un approccio di tipo pro-attivo, unico atteggiamento in grado di produrre risultati positivi. Non sono infatti certamente più sufficienti interventi limitati ad una visione puntuale del contesto operativo, ma, specie in situazioni complesse quali quelle industriali moderne in cui le criticita’ piu’ pesanti possono risultare mascherate ad una visione superficiale, occorre la diffusione di una cultura della sicurezza come stile di vita finalizzata alla corretta impostazione e gestione delle lavorazioni.
Cio’ comporta necessariamente per i soggetti coinvolti nella questione –sia che operino all’interno delle aziende, sia che svolgano compiti di vigilanza- un approfondimento dedicato, prima dell’avviarsi delle fasi realizzative sul campo, delle proprie capacita’ di analisi e valutazione dei programmi stessi di conduzione dei lavori, per evidenziare eventuali necessita’ di integrazione e perfezionamento, tenuto conto delle reali criticita’ che l’analisi ha consentito di evidenziare, al fine di garantire che l’attivita’ si svolga nel rispetto delle soluzioni di eliminazione e riduzione al minimo dei rischi precedentemente individuate.
