In a highly competitive environment freelancers are urged to generate fast and accurate translations aiming at their clients' best satisfaction. From where I stand, each translation is elaborated as a unique entity which can be highly affiliated to the needs of target audience. Systematic contact with clients is a prerequisite for enhanced results and therefore your opinion matters in every step of the translation procedure.
My first diploma (Ionian University diploma in translation studies) paved the way for a consistent professional path. Later the MSC in European Studies and Translation (Heriot Watt University, Scotland, UK) added up to my undergraduate skills, offering me new perspectives on Law, Government, Political Science, Geopolitics and EU related affairs. My non-remunerated internship (volunteer status) was performed in the Hellenic Embassy of Indonesia, based in Jakarta in 2004 where I had the chance to experience fast-track consular procedures and perform english-based transactions with the embassy's audience. In the years that followed the theoretical path joined the practical one and I was given the chance to work on valuable fields of expertise such as: energy, RES, construction, investments, business, marketing, technical manuals, financial body texts and certificates. Over the last 3 years I am member of the Panhellenic Association for Professional Translators Graduates of the Ionian University. In accordance with the Presidential Decree 169 of 17.06.2002 (Official Gazette 156/2.7.02), the graduate translators of the Ionian University are considered certified translators having the right to make official translations for the public and private authorities in Greece and abroad.
It is my personal belief that long-term partners stand the best chances to prevail in a highly competitive market.
