They demanded the rates to be revised. “We cried: “Help! They are robbing us!” tells Igor Buchatskyy, acting in 2009-2011 as GM of an agricultural holding Sargo that incorporates a hog-raising enterprise Kalita. He remembers that the only major player who has not joined the general chorus was Danosha, Ukrainian daughter of Danish company Axzon. “It was not crucial for them whether the price for a kilogramme was 15 or 12 hryvnyas,” Buchatskyy remarks. “They were able to earn anyway.” Danosha is the second biggest hog-raising business by total number of livestock and output volume in Ukraine. Physico-chemical properties Optical spectroscopy associated with transport measurements is a powerful tool for investigating the charge transfer in lithium intercalated layered compounds. Optical studies include photoluminescence, Raman scattering, far-infrared reflectivity and absorption measurements. They are carried out to determine the structural transformations of Li-intercalated materials [48–50] but are also fruitful for the knowledge of charge transfer [51–53]. The small structural change due to the replacement of relatively weak Van der Waals forces by stronger coulomb-type interactions has been theoretically treated [24,25], and as an experimental evidence, in LixFePS3 the n-LiþS6 mode has been clearly observed in the infrared spectrum [54]. Optical absorption studies have played a significant role in establishing the charge transfer concept, and one of the earliest experiments in this regard is the work of Acrivos et al. [55] on NaxMoS2. Upon intercalation, the host lattice is accepting electrons in the conduction band which has a high density of states as in LixMoS2 [55] or in an empty gap states as the 3d level of Ni2þ in the LixNiPS3 [56]. The aim of this section is to present a selection of appropriate layered materials, which illustrate the modifications occurring upon lithium intercalation using different optical spectroscopies and transport measurements. We shall discuss the modification of lattice dynamics and optical properties upon Li-ion intercalation with the aim of a better understanding of the intercalation process and establishing some guidelines for improving the performance of these materials in their most eminent applications, i.e. namely their use as positive electrode materials in high-energy density lithium batteries. Фізико-хімічні властивості Оптична спектроскопія і заміри переміщення потоку є дієвим інструментом для вивчення переміщення заряду в багаторівневих інтеркалярних сполуках літію. Вивчення оптичними методами включає фотолюмінесценцію, комбінаційне розсіювання спектру, заміри відбиття та поглинання інфрачервоних променів далекого спектру. Воно здійснюється для встановлення структурних перетворень Li-інтеркалярних матеріалів [48-50], але також є ефективним для отримання відомостей про переміщення заряду [51-53]. Незначні структурні зміни в результаті заміщення відносно слабких сил Ван-дер-Ваальса сильнішими взаємодіями кулонівського типу були теоретично обґрунтовані [24, 25] та отримали своє експериментальне підтвердження коли в LixFePS3 в інфрачервоному спектрі чітко спостерігалася v-Li S6 мода [54]. Вивчення оптичними методами відігравало важливу роль в розробці концепції переміщення заряду, а одним із ранніх експериментів у цьому руслі є дослідницька робота Acrivos et al. [55] з NaxMoS2. Під дією інтеркаляції кристалічна решітка основи приймає електрони в зону провідності, що має високу щільність станів, як наприклад в LixMoS2 [55], чи в станах вільного просвіту, таких як третій рівень Ni2 в LixNiPS3 [56]. Метою цього розділу є представити вибірку відповідних багаторівневих матеріалів, котрі ілюструють видозміни, що мають місце при інтеркаляції літію з використанням різного виду оптичних спектроскопій та замірів переміщення. Ми будемо розглядати видозміни в динаміці кристалічної решітки і оптичних властивостях під дією інтеркаляції Li-іонами з метою кращого розуміння процесу інтеркаляції і розробки деяких принципів для покращення характеристик цих матеріалів у їх провідній сфері застосування, тобто, головним чином їхнього використання як матеріалів для виготовлення позитивних електродів у літіумних батареях з високою питомою вагою енергоємності.
