Photographing interiors demands that you be particularly sensitive to all elements that will complicate or distract in the image. Excessive convergence (“ship’s prow”) can be a real problem when shooting into corners, and distortion is noticeable when the camera is tilted even a fraction upward or downward. Many photographic problems are also magnified when you shoot indoors because the camera is so close to the structure. You will often use wide-angle lenses, and wideangle lenses tend to emphasize distortion when used in close quarters.

При съемке интерьера вам необходимо принимать во внимание все элементы, которые могут усложнять композицию или отвлекать внимание зрителя от главного объекта съемки. В процессе съемки вы можете столкнуться с серьезными проблемами. Например, снимая из углов, есть высокая вероятность появления чрезмерных искажений (т.н. эффект «носа корабля»). Также заметные искажения могут возникать даже при незначительном наклоне фотоаппарата вверх и вниз. Многие стандартные проблемы, с которыми, как правило, сталкивается фотограф, усложняются, когда вы снимаете внутри помещения ввиду близкого расположения фотоаппарата к объекту съемки. В связи с этим, рекомендуется использовать широкоугольные объективы, но при этом следить за искажением перспективы, которая может возникать при съемке таким объективом с близкого расстояния.
