Ukraine was known as a large breadbasket for ages as well as an intellectual and spiritual wellspring for Europe and the world. Ukraine has enriched the international bank of philosophical and religious thought, including arts and literature. Great ideas and leading technologies which formed modern civilization were born and brought to fruition on Ukrainian soil.
Across the thorny history of our Homeland, denied its own nationality for ages, the names of many sons and daughters would fade if not for their association with the Ukrainioan nation.
I would like to convey a sincere appreciation to the author and editors of this book and their attempt to spread the truth about these great Ukrainians and their contributions to today's world.
