After moving around a little and living in cities like Barcelona, Oslo and Brüssels, I have now finally settled in Berlin. It's just about a year since I moved here and it already feels like home.
I am a native Norwegian, born on the west coast in a small city called Ulsteinvik. At the age of 17 I moved to Minnesota where I spent a year as a foreign exchange student. In high school I specialized in languages, in particular English and German, but I also have some experience in Spanish and picked up a little when I lived a year in Barcelona.
I have completed a Bachelor of Management at the Norwegian School of Management BI, specializing in international marketing and economics. I have also studied construction engineering for two years, participated in an entrepreneurial management program at Boston University (graduate level, called Gründerskolen in Norwegian) and studied history one semester at the University of Oslo.
In Barcelona I worked with translation for about five months, 20 hours a week, English to Norwegian. I have also done translation work for many of the companies I've worked for, often related to PR or marketing material. I'm currently doing transcription work and subtitling for an American company on a regular basis.
During the last 12 years I have had several full time jobs, noticeably within the fields of IT ,telecommunication and real estate. |
