Audi has presented a revolution in the top class at the Geneva Motor Show 2008 — the first 12-cylinder diesel engine in a high-performance road-going sports car. The V12 TDI with a displacement of 6 liters powers a concept car based on the Audi R8. This unit generates a huge 500PS and 1,000 Nm of torque.
Muscular Proportions
The R8 TDI Le Mans bodywork is painted in brilliant red and looks even wider and more resolute than the core model. It shows its potential through its muscular proportions, accentuated wheel arches and even larger air apertures. The rhombus-patterned cover on the air inlets and outlets is the hallmark of Audi's sporty top models and a familiar feature of the current RS generation.
Superb Performance
The V12 TDI engine is built at the Györ plant, in Hungary. The Audi R8 TDI Le Mans still produces a massive 500PS and the 83.0 mm bore and 91.4 mm stroke produce a total displacement of 5,934 cc. At only 684 mm long, the large diesel engine is very compact and just 166 mm longer than the V8 TDI. This is a key to accommodating the V12 in the mid-engined Audi R8.

Source text - English Who cast that first fateful tomato that started the La Tomatina revolution? The reality is no one knows. Maybe it was an anti-Franco rebellion, or a carnival that got out of hand. According to the most popular version of the story, during the 1945 festival of Los Gigantes (a giant paper mâché puppet parade), locals were looking to stage a brawl to get some attention. They happened upon a vegetable cart nearby and started hurling ripe tomatoes. Innocent onlookers got involved until the scene escalated into a massive melee of flying fruit. The instigators had to repay the tomato vendors, but that didn't stop the recurrence of more tomato fights—and the birth of a new tradition.
Fearful of an unruly escalation, authorities enacted, relaxed, and then reinstated a series of bans in the 1950s. In 1951, locals who defied the law were imprisoned until public outcry called for their release. The most famous effrontery to the tomato bans happened in 1957 when proponents held a mock tomato funeral complete with a coffin and procession. After 1957, the local government decided to roll with the punches, set a few rules in place, and embraced the wacky tradition.
Though the tomatoes take center stage, a week of festivities lead up to the final showdown. It's a celebration of Buñol's patron saints, the Virgin Mary and St. Louis Bertrand, with street parades, music, and fireworks in joyous Spanish fashion. To build up your strength for the impending brawl, an epic paella is served on the eve of the battle, showcasing an iconic Valencian dish of rice, seafood, saffron, and olive oil.
Today, this unfettered festival has some measure of order. Organizers have gone so far as to cultivate a special variety of unpalatable tomatoes just for the annual event. Festivities kick off around 10 a.m. when participants race to grab a ham fixed atop a greasy pole. Onlookers hose the scramblers with water while singing and dancing in the streets. When the church bell strikes noon, trucks packed with tomatoes roll into town, while chants of "To-ma-te, to-ma-te!" reach a crescendo.
Then, with the firing of a water cannon, the main event begins. That's the green light for crushing and launching tomatoes in all-out attacks against fellow participants. Long distance tomato lobbers, point-blank assassins, and medium range hook shots. Whatever your technique, by the time it's over, you will look (and feel) quite different. Nearly an hour later, tomato-soaked bombers are left to play in a sea of squishy street salsa with little left resembling a tomato to be found. A second cannon shot signals the end of the battle.

В 1951 году местные жители, не подчинившиеся этому закону, подверглись тюремному заключению до тех пор, пока общественность не организовала акцию протеста с требованием их высвобождения. В наши дни этот некогда дезорганизованный праздник стал более дисциплинированным. Организаторы даже научились выращивать специальный сорт несъедобных томатов, используемых исключительно в качестве метательных снарядов для ежегодного празднества. Веселье начинается в 10 часов утра, когда участники устремляются наперегонки, пытаясь сорвать кусок ветчины, закрепленный на вершине сального столба, в то время как толпа уличных болельщиков поливает карабкающихся водой из шлангов, танцует и поет. Когда церковный колокол пробивает полдень, в город въезжают доверху груженные томатами грузовики, сопровождаемые радостными выкриками «То-ма-ты, то-ма-ты!», постепенно сливающимися в единый хор.
Залп из водяной пушки сигнализирует о начале основного действия. Орудия к бою! Настало время применить весь свой боевой арсенал: томатные «ракеты» дальнего радиуса действия, убийственные прямые выстрелы в упор, помидорные «гранаты» для бросков средней дальности. Какую бы тактику ведения боя вы ни выбрали, к моменту окончания этого безумия вы будете выглядеть и чувствовать себя совершенно по-новому. Спустя примерно час насквозь промокшие в томатном соке соперники могут позволить себе расслабиться и побарахтаться в уличных реках из вязкой сальсы, в которых едва ли найдется уцелевший помидор. Повторный пушечный залп завершает ежегодное томатное побоище.

Исследователи и путешественники часто подчеркивали страсть мордвы к бортничеству. Шведский посланник И. Кильбургер, посетивший Россию в конце Х века, отмечал, что «… в провинции Мордва собирается все-таки наилучший мед». Бортные урожаи и лестные вотчины с их зверем и птицей составляют главную драгоценность мордвина. О значимости пчеловодства в хозяйстве мордвы говорит тот факт, что «молодой человек в прежние времена не имел права жениться, пока не научится делать «борти». По изучении же этого мастерства ему выбирали невесту…»
Мед употреблялся для приготовления праздничных и обрядовых блюд и в народной медицине. Из меда готовили национальные напитки: пуре, медовуху, брагу. Мед добавляли для сладости в начинку пирогов из творога, ягод, плодов. Многовековые традиции нашли свое отражение в народном творчестве, в бытовом укладе мордвы. Существовал ряд обрядов, поверий. Преданий, связанных с этим промыслом. Покровителем пчел считался Нишкепаз у эрзи, Нишкеперь-азырава у мокшы, который, по представлениям живет в самом большом улье. Во время роения пчел устраивалось моление. В жертву покровителю пчел приносили первый вылетевший рой. Хозяин пчельника ссыпал рой в снятую с себя рубаху и топил его в болоте, при этом приговаривал: «Вот тебе, Нишкеперь-азырава, первый рой, не упускай моих пчел». Считалось, что после такого дара не только свои рои не улетят с пчельника, но и чужие прилетят в него.
С пчеловодством у мордвы связан ряд поверий и запретов. Например, нельзя было наступать на порог в доме, у хозяина которого имеются пчелы, якобы это приведен к их гибели. Считалось так же к большому несчастью, если во сне убьешь пчелу. Существовало поверье, что пчелы хорошо приживаются только у честных и аккуратных хозяев.
Translation - English MORDOVIAN WILD-HONEY FARMING TRADITIONS
The passion of the Mordovians for wild-honey farming has been repeatedly noted by many researchers and travellers. I. Kielburger, a Swedish envoy who visited Russia in the end of the 10th century, stated that “the best honey is undoubtedly gathered in the province of Mordva”. Wild honey yields and virgin woodlands with their rich wildlife are the Mordovians’ primary source of well-being. And the fact that “a young man was not allowed to get married until he learns to make a wild hive” is a good illustration of the importance of wild-honey farming for the Mordovian economy. “Only after he masters his hive-making skills, he was permitted to choose a bride…”
Honey was used in cooking for making celebratory and ceremonial meals as well as in folk medicine. National beverages, such as purre, mead and home brew, were also made of honey. Honey served as a sweetener for curd-, berry- and fruit-filled pies. Centuries-old wild-honey farming traditions were reflected in folk art and living habits of the Mordovians. A number of ceremonies, popular beliefs and legends were associated with this industry. Some ethnic groups believed that the defender of bees (who was called Nishkepaz by the Erzyas and Nishkeper-Azyrava — by the Mokshas) lived in the biggest hive. People performed praying rituals when the bees were swarming. The first swarm was traditionally sacrificed to the bees’ defender. The owner of the apiary grabbed the swarm into his shirt and drowned it in a swamp, saying: “Here is the first swarm for you, Nishkeper-Azyrava, don’t you let my bees go!” It was believed that after such a gift not only will his own bees stay in the apiary, but new bees will also come and colonize it.
A number of Mordovian popular beliefs and taboos are associated with the beekeeping. For example, stepping on the threshold of a beekeeper’s house was prohibited: it was thought to make the bees decease. Killing a bee in your dream was also considered to lead to a great misfortune. One of the popular beliefs stated that bees can only get along together with honest and caring farmers.

To upgrade your class for a one-way flight at the check-in, you will be charged half of bonus miles required for issuing an economy class round-trip award ticket. Thus, if you have a sufficient amount of bonus miles on your account and an economy class ticket at Optimum group rate or higher (RBD code is Y, B, M, U, K, H, L), you can upgrade the service class not only for you, but also for your fellow-travelers from the same reservation. To transfer the award to another passenger and upgrade his service class, this passenger must be included in the same reservation as the program participant whose miles will be redeemed for the award. The service class upgrade can be used for a one-way air leg only. In case of a transfer flight or a flight back, separate class upgrade procedure is to be followed.
Please bear in mind that making a service class upgrade at the check-in does not imply an access to the business lounge; free baggage allowance conditions remain as prescribed for the initially issued economy class ticket.

Source text - English How to Stream using OBS on Azubu
Dynamic credentials are usually used for custom broadcast streams, encoders without the Azubu plugin, while OBS is fully synchronized for the static keys. Dynamic credentials are for single stream sessions, meaning new credentials need to be requested for every new broadcast, there is no need to request for new credentials when using the static key (after the first time).
The OBS encoder is a very simple and easy-to-use client. It is free and widely spread among streamers around the world. The majority of Azubu broadcasters prefer OBS as it is a user-friendly application.
Upon starting OBS, a simple interface (see screenshot below) will be prompted. To capture a game or monitor area, the broadcaster would need to set up a Scene and Source. Scene serves as a separate profile for the capture source, which means multiple scenes with different captures may be used. Right click the mouse, on the Source field to see all of the available captures. It is recommended to use either game capture for playing a game in full screen or monitor capture to allow multi window mode.
Configure Encoding Settings
In the encoding section set the video bit rate to 3000 kbps and the audio bit rate: between 128-192kbps.
Configure Broadcast Settings
In the broadcast settings, set up “Streaming Service” for the broadcast and paste the streaming key for the channel in Play Path/Stream Key. The latest OBS version was released with the custom Azubu plugin, which means the Streaming Service includes the Azubu.tv option. The Stream Key field is for the static key. Dynamic credentials require 2 fields and they may be manually enabled (custom) in the Streaming Service options for OBS.
Note: Once the static key is inserted, the client will use it for the other stream sessions without a necessity to request it again.

It’s great to give customers a way to participate. I’m just not sure something as important as a name is the place to do it.
Turns out there’s one thing the Internet still can’t do: name a brand. Just ask Mountain Dew—currently in the grip of a PR nightmare brought on when their affiliate tried to crowdsource a name for a new green-apple flavor beverage.
Names like “Diabeetus” and “Gushing Granny” went up on their own promotional site, sparking a flurry of forwarded emails and press attention. Mountain Dew has pulled the site down but the damage is done.
They aren’t the first company to be spoofed, or the last. (Remember the hoax version of Shell’s website?) So what keeps drawing companies to the idea of crowdsourcing? It’s not just getting names for free—it’s a chance to empower customers by giving them a way to participate, combined with the promise of word-of-mouth promotion.
That’s the hope. But what’s the reality?
Our clients have sent us crowdsourced names in the past, and we’ve dutifully spent hours ruling out the jokes and the names that don’t fit the brand or the strategy. The resulting shortlist often doesn’t survive legal trademark scrutiny or deliver on strategic objectives. It’s more likely to spark an idea that eventually turns into a name, as in the case of Kraft Mondelez.
With any sort of public contest, you’re also not just inviting customers—you’re inviting everyone. Anonymous comments have a tendency to turn negative, because it’s easy to jump on the bandwagon and make a nasty or funny comment. In exchange for the hope of word-of-mouth publicity, you might be handing the keys of your brand over to a few pranksters.

A. QA/QC Program
1. A written quality management program, which identifies and defines the policies and procedures for the operation and control of the site's food safety and quality programs, is established, organized, and current. There is an approval process for the program and its procedures, including changes. The program identifies an individual whose job description includes responsibility for managing the overall program.
2. There are written standards and specifications for raw and finished food products and packaging materials that come in contact with food. How any rework is used in products must be defined.
3. Procedures and criteria have been established for all hold and release programs. Documentation and records are maintained. The procedures shall include a method of identification for held products, a log of holds with descriptions of the holds and reconciliation of open holds.
B. Good Manufacturing Practices
1. A documented GMP Program has been established. It complies with all applicable regulations.
2. Signage that identifies applicable employee hygiene requirements in languages appropriate for employees to understand is present at all entrances to GMP zones. GMPs are posted for employees and visitors and/or they are given a copy of the facility's GMPs. The GMPs or company policy should specify that lack of compliance with the standards might result in disciplinary action. Corrective action procedures must be established for deviations to employee hygiene practices, and records are maintained.
C. Pest Control
1. A written pest control program has been established. It must include a designated pest control operator (internal or an outside service), scheduled frequency of service, and a current map, updated annually, showing the location and type of all pest control devices (internal and external).

There are a myriad of definitions for Sustainable Tourism, including eco-tourism, green travel, environmentally and culturally responsible tourism, fair trade and ethical travel. The most widely accepted definition is that of the World Tourism Organisation. They define sustainable tourism as “tourism which leads to management of all resources in such a way that economic, social and aesthetic needs can be fulfilled while maintaining cultural integrity, essential ecological processes, biological diversity and life support systems.” In addition they describe the development of sustainable tourism as a process which meets the needs of present tourists and host communities whilst protecting and enhancing needs in the future.
Tourism is one of the world’s largest industries. For developing countries it is also one of the biggest income generators. But the huge infrastructural and resource demands of tourism (e.g. water consumption, waste generation and energy use) can have severe impacts upon local communities and the environment if it is not properly managed.
To reach this current state, we have witnessed an exponential growth in global tourism over the past half century. 25 million international visitors in 1950 grew to an estimated 650 million people by the year 2000. Several factors have contributed to this rise in consumer demand in recent decades. This includes an increase in the standard of living in the developed countries, greater allowances for holiday entitlements and declining costs of travel. Tourism is an important export for a large number of developing countries, and the principal export for about a third of these. Statistics for domestic tourism are not so easily available. However it is certain that domestic tourism is also growing rapidly in many Asian and Latin American countries.

Source text - English Corruption is a truly global and historical phenomenon from which no country in the world escapes. The developing countries are more sensitive and vulnerable to the damage done by corruption. Latvia, in the transition period from Soviet times to an independent democracy and market-oriented economy, also faces the phenomenon of corruption. The main objective of this case study is to discuss integrating anti-corruption prevention issues into the curricula of public training institutions. A. secondary objective is to share the Latvian experience within the Network of Institutes and Schools of Public Administrations of the Central and Eastern European countries (NISPAcee) working group and with interested institutions and experts outside the NISPAcee.
Legal and institutional anti-corruption framework
Since independence in 1991, Latvia has taken a number of steps to strengthen its rule of law, public administration and criminal justice system. Given the European Commission’s Copenhagen political criteria, Latvia sees corruption prevention as an important step for European Union accession. Latvia’s national strategy for EU accession, and a number of important anti-corruption policy measures, have been the direct result of EU pressure or assistance. The EU’s Latvian progress report contains three procedures that should be followed to prevent corruption: 1) completion of a legal framework; 2) provision of effective work by legal institutions; 3) taking measures to strengthen awareness of corruption and to change perceptions.

Статья посвящена содержательным особенностям этностереотипов (автостереотипов) студенческой молодежи как будущей интеллигенции России, их динамике в период кризисных трансформаций в обществе. Подчеркивается важность исследования автостереотипов русских как показателя самоотношения, от которого зависит отношение к представителям других национальностей, проживающих в России. Выделяется проблема адекватности метода изучения этностереотипов. Подчеркивается эффективность метода свободного самоописания. На основе анализа многолетнего эмпирического исследования подчеркивается сохранение противоречивости автостереотипов. Отмечаются причины такой особенности: исторический характер, изменение социокультурной ситуации в обществе, возрастная несформированность. Акцентируется внимание на ожидаемых этностереотипах, констатируется их негативный характер и роль в межнациональном общении. Отмечается связь автостереотипов и уровня социального оптимизма студенческой молодежи.
Translation - English DYNAMICS OF STUDENT YOUTH ETHNIC STEREOTYPES IN THE CONTEXT OF SOCIAL TRANSFORMATIONS
The article investigates substantial peculiarities of ethnic stereotypes (autostereotypes) of student youth as the future Russian intellectuals and their dynamic development in the period of crisis-based transformations in society. The author emphasizes the importance of research of Russians’ autostereotypes as the indicators of self-concept that determines their attitude towards other nationalities residing in Russia. The problem of adequacy of ethnic stereotypes research method is pointed out. The efficiency of free self-description method is emphasized. Based on the analysis of long-standing empiric study, the persistence of autostereotypes inconsistency is accentuated. The following reasons for such a peculiarity are described: historical character, changes in sociocultural environment in society, age-related immaturity. Special attention is drawn to expectable ethnic stereotypes, their negative nature and role in international communication. The interconnection between autostereotypes and the level of social optimism of student youth is pointed out.
