Source text - Portuguese A nafta petroquímica deverá ultrapassar em fevereiro os atuais R$ 1.140 (US$ 500) fixados pela Petrobras. Por causa desse movimento de alta do insumo, as grandes fabricantes de resinas nacionais podem iniciar um processo de reajuste nos preços.
O dólar comercial fechou estável ontem, após registrar queda forte ao longo de todo o dia. A desvalorização acentuada desacelerou após o leilão de compra do Banco Central (BC). Nas últimas ofertas do dia, a moeda recuou 0,04%, para R$ 2,216.
A Organização Mundial do Comércio (OMC) adiou pela terceira vez a decisão sobre se a União Européia pode ou não vetar a importação de produtos transgênicos. A sentença confidencial, que deveria sair hoje, foi mais uma vez postergada pelos juízes da organização.
Nos últimos meses, vai ficando cada vez mais claro que a economia americana está passando por um período de desaquecimento, indo de uma taxa de crescimento de certa de 5,5% no primeiro trimestre para algo em torno de 2,5% na projeção do segundo semestre.
O único setor dentro da economia americana que mostra uma queda mais forte é o de imóveis, que foi um dos principais responsáveis pelo crescimento acelerado dos últimos anos e vem sendo um dos determinantes da desaceleração dos últimos meses. No entanto, até agora não foi observado um impacto mais claro sobre o restante da economia que justificasse uma maior preocupação com um quadro de queda mais forte do crescimento.
