Holder of Master of Marketing and Strategic communication and experience as creative writer, copywriter, journalist, transcribor and translator

I am a communications professional with more than ten years of experience in Marketing and strategic communication.

I began my career working as an account manager in cinema advertising, and moved on to be a key account manager in large media cooperation, responsible for all communication from the largest client base to the market through newspaper, radio, television, internet and events.

I have also been a sales and project manager in publishing, where I had to juggle designers, journalists and advertising sales on one hand, and client relationship on the other.

I have worked as a journalist both freelance but also in publishing, and have had copywriting roles when working in advertising. In addition to this I have extensive experience in writing communication plans (both strategic as well as marketing communication) in English as well as Norwegian.

My job in an insurance agency gave me the important skill of having attention to detail, knowing that I was dealing with people’s valuables and was not able to make mistakes on their policies.

During the past 3 years, I have worked as a lecturer in communications and marketing communications at several universities in Australia (Canberra and Melbourne).

My qualifications include a Bachelor of Communication, advertising and marketing communication, with a minor in copywriting and creative writing, from the University of Canberra (2000), and I have just completed a master of marketing communication at the same university, receiving Dean’s awards for academic achievement. .

I have excellent communication skills, written and oral, in both Norwegian and English. I am Norwegian, but have spent almost 5 years in Australia.
I have worked solely as a freelance translator for the last three years, having had clients in a number of different fields, e.g. tourism, marketing, advertising and technical to name a few.

I work effectively with an attention to detail and high quality.
