Source text - Indonesian Taman Mini “Indonesia Indah” (TMII) merupakan tempat rekreasi yang sangat populer dan akrab bagi warga kota Jakarta serta kota-kota lain di Indonesia, bahkan mancanegara. Konsepnya menyajikan wahana dan fasilitas secara rekreatif, informatif, edukatif, komunikatif, dan atraktif (RIEKA).
Miniatur Indonesia secara lengkap, baik bentang darat, kekayaan alam, aneka warna seni dan budaya daerah, maupun perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi serta berbagai bentuk seni dan budaya masa kini tersajikan di sini. Paparannya diwujudkan dalam bentuk Miniatur Arsipel Indonesia yang merupakan danau buatan dengan tiruan kepulauan Indonesia berikut penampang daratnya beserta anjungan-anjungan daerah. Tiap anjungan tersebut menampilkan rumah adat bercorak arsitektur tradisional berikut penyajian benda-benda budaya, pentas seni, upacara adat, keragaman kuliner, dan berbagai seluk beluk yang berkait dengan daerah bersangkutan, yang secara nyata menunjukkan ke-Bhinneka Tunggal Ika-an Indonesia.
Selain anjungan daerah, berderet museum-museum yang memamerkan bukan hanya koleksi sejarah, budaya, serta teknologi masa lalu dan masa kini melainkan juga menciptakan dialog dengan pengunjung melalui berbagai peragaan yang—pada gilirannya—menjadi tonggak penciptaan di masa depan. Penampilan 15 museum, antara lain Museum Indonesia, Museum Transportasi, Museum Migas, Pusat Peragaan Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi, merupakan sumber informasi tiada batas.
Wahana rekreasi berupa 11 unit taman, antara lain Taman Burung, Taman Akuarium Air Tawar, dan Taman Bunga Keong Emas; berbagai wahana inovatif, seperti Istana Anak Anak Indonesia, Teater Imax Keong Emas, Teater 4D’Motion, Kereta Gantung (skylift), “monorel” Aeromovel; serta Taman Budaya Tionghoa Indonesia dan TMII Waterpark yang kini sedang dibangun, juga menawarkan nuansa yang menarik.
Berbagai jenis wahana dan fasilitas tersebut semuanya mempunyai dimensi rekreasi, pendidikan, pelestarian, sekaligus pemerkayaan cakrawala pengetahuan dan pewarisan nilai-nilai budaya bangsa Indonesia, khususnya bagi generasi muda.

Translation - English Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) is a very popular and well-known travel destination to most of Jakarta people and the people coming from other regions and even to the international tourist. TMII combined the concepts of informative, educative, communicative and attractive to its facilities and recreational parks.
A complete set of Indonesian miniature, including the topography, natural resources, variety of local art and culture, including the current update of science and technology as well as the modern and contemporary art form and culture are all available here. The scenery is made available through the miniature of Indonesian archipelago in a man-made lake and also in the province pavilions. Each pavilion displays the traditional house embedded with the rich architectural design including the local artifacts, performing arts, custom rituals, also culinary diversity and all the things origin to the province which clearly shown the spirit of the famous Indonesian slogan "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika", literally means Unity in Diversity.
Aside from the province pavilions, TMII also features different kinds of museums which not only display the historical collection, or the culture or past and current technologies but TMII also brings forth communication to its visitor through different demonstration which will be the foundation for the future inventions. From the total of 15 museums in TMII, some includes Indonesian Museum, Transportation Museum, Oil and Gas Museum, and Science and Technology center which serves as infinite source of information.
TMII also features 11 recreational parks which includes Bird Park, Fresh water aquarium, Keong Mas flower garden. Other innovative destinations are Indonesian children castle, Keong Mas Imax theatre, 4D motion theatre, skylift, Aeromovel monorail, and Chinese culture park. Adding to the available features is the TMII waterpark which currently under construction.
All the features of TMII is meant to bring the values of recreational, educational, reservation and also to broaden the horizon of knowledge and wisdom to Indonesian people especially the younger generation.
