I am a translator/proofreader/subtitler with an MA in Translation from the University of Strasbourg, France, and a BA in Communication, Media and Culture from the Panteion University of Athens, Greece. As a translator/proofreader/subtitler, I am seeking the opportunity to use my language skills within a professional business context in a role that utilizes my interpersonal skills. 

Since 2012, I have been working as a freelance translator/proofreader/subtitler from Athens, Greece, providing services to several subtitling and translation agencies in Greece, Europe and across the world. I have collaborated, among others, with the National Geographic magazine, the Greek Ministries of Economy and Finance, of National Defence and of Labor, Welfare and Social Security, the European Commission as well as Netflix and Amazon Studios.

In addition, and, indicatively, I have translated and self-published the book “Markos Vamvakaris : le patriarche du rébétiko – Autobiographie” from Greek to French (available on Amazon), translated the book “MARKOS VAMVAKARIS: From myth to history 1600-2017” from Greek to English and French (available on Amazon), the graphic novels “The Famous Quartet of Piraeus”, “Island Adventures: The Sand Games” and “The Archipelago on Fire” from Greek to English (available on europecomics.com), as well as the website of the Kounadis Archive Virtual Museum (which includes one of the richest collections of songs and documents on Greek music, vmrebetiko.gr/en/d-home-en/) from Greek to English.

I am fully qualified regarding the use of computers and I am able to use a wide variety of programs, including the Microsoft Office suite. I am also fully qualified regarding the use of CAT-tools, such as Trados Studio, Phrase (MemSource) and Subtitle Edit.
