Geologists had once assumed that earth's geography was unchanging. Now we know that the continents are move around. This continental drift has been taking place for billions of years.
It had been observed that the coasts of some continents fit together like puzzle pieces. Because of this, some speculated that the continents had once been joined together but it was not until the 1960s that the theory of plate tectonics explained how continents could move.
The earth's rocky outer shell (the lithosphere) is broken into stabs called plates. Their average thickness is 100 km (62 miles). A plate is not the same shape as the continent it carries; most plates support both continent and ocean. The plates ride around the earth' s surface on the hot rock of the asthenosphere that lies beneath them.

Οι γεωλόγοι είχαν κάποτε θεωρήσει πως η γεωγραφία της γης ήταν αμετάβλητη. Τώρα γνωρίζουμε ότι οι ήπειροι κινούνται τριγύρω. Αυτή η ηπειρωτική μετατόπιση λαμβάνει χώρα εδώ και δισεκατομμύρια έτη.
Έχει παρατηρηθεί ότι οι ακτές κάποιων από τις ηπείρους ταιριάζουν μεταξύ τους όπως τα κομμάτια ενός παζλ. Εξαιτίας αυτού, κάποιοι προέβησαν στην εικασία πως κάποτε οι ήπειροι ήταν ενωμένοι μεταξύ τους, αν και μόλις την δεκαετία του 1960, βάση της θεωρίας των τεκτονικών πλακών εξηγήθηκε πως οι ήπειροι μπορούν να κινούνται.
Το εξωτερικό βραχώδες περίβλημα της γης (η λιθόσφαιρα) είναι σπασμένο σε κομμάτια που αποκαλούνται πλάκες. Το μέσο πάχος τους είναι τα 100 χλμ (62 μίλια). Μία πλάκα δεν έχει το ίδιο σχήμα όπως αυτό της ηπείρου που φέρει· οι περισσότερες πλάκες φέρουν από κοινού ήπειρο και ωκεανό.   5. In order to be able to satisfy point 4 (four), to be stated that I might ask for a sample or/and more details on the content before accepting a translation.

  6. I don’t mind of tight schedules; of course, as long as there is an analogous return.

  7. I am keen in following flexible payment schemes, guaranteeing both sides in terms of liability (I’ll get paid the whole amount – you’ll get the translation within the agreed time-table).

  8. The latter does not imply, that you can’t counter-propose another payment-scheme or even method. Nevertheless, consider that in one hand I’m not a financial institution to be able to to conform to each one, while on the other hand, schemes that I’m keen on following served their purpose adequately up to now.

  9. In connection to payment methods. I respect your tendency for anonymity, but I do not accept cryptocurrency credits as a medium of exchange.

  10. I don’t mind keeping archives of translation tasks for a time period and I won’t charge for that – considering of course the amount of storage space – but you’ll have to explicitly ask for such in advance. Else, everything will be deleted after 3 (three) days of final delivery.
