Translation - English Vera Film Presents DRAGON X
A Sniper is a soldier who is physically and psychologically strong. Who - alone or in a group, with very high resilience and without help from other units - spy, sabotages and fights far beyond the enemy lines.
A Sniper is trained to combat enemy targets with the help of shot guns automatic rifles, target rifles, bulldozers and mines, as well as mastering artillery helicopters and fighter planes.
Only a few meet the requirements for a placement in the Sniper Unit.
The recruits have to complete three months of regular soldier training before they are tested in the official "Snipers March".
Wearing a uniform is important for the team spirit. Unity eliminates alienation.
Everybody is anybody and a private is purely judged by his qualities and actions.
During the sniper training the soldiers have to cope with loneliness, uncertainty, coldness, darkness, stress and chaos.
Only those who complete all the tests receive the green beret and are officially titled "Snipers".

Bio
A brief summary of my career history to date:
www.thelocal.se
Successfully delivering copy to meet deadlines and contributing to the site content with new and refreshing ideas. Helping to fulfil the expectations of the current readership and increasing exposure to new readers. Sourcing local Swedish news as well as translating press releases from Swedish to English.
www.societyguardian.co.uk
In 2008 and 2009 I had the opportunity to work for The Guardian Online as a freelance journalist. I contributed with a series of feature articles, which appeared on The Guardian's social affairs and public policy website. This required a clear understanding of the site's audience and their interests and pitching relevant features which fitted in well with the news agenda of the time.
MarketScope at Standard & Poors
Conducting telephone interviews and researching company financial data from a variety of sources in order to assist senior reporters and journalists. This included some translation of news articles from Swedish to English. One other principal responsibility was to produce a daily comment on the New York stock exchange, which required sourcing and editing of various news items for afternoon release on Bloomberg and Reuters.
Vera Films, Sweden
Worked with post-production on a documentary called “DRAGON X”, directed and produced by Jenny Jansdotter. Primarily responsible for official subtitling from Swedish to English, as well as editing the final draft of the translation before general DVD release and pitching at European film festivals. This documentary was screened on Swedish Television in April 2007. In addition I have subtitled their latest production called “ANIMA MINI” (2011 Swedish/English), this short film is work in progress and due to be finished summer 2012.
