BODY: IAF aircraft struck a terrorist squad this afternoon (Sunday) in the center of the Gaza Strip, shortly after the group launched rockets toward Israeli territory. The air force confirmed a direct hit on its target.
This morning, just as militants were finalizing plans to launch similar attacks on Israeli territory, the air force struck a second group of terrorists in southern Gaza.
During a joint mission involving IDF personnel and Israel's security forces last night, operatives from Global Jihad – a group affiliated with the Mujahidin Shura Council – were killed in northern Gaza. Hasahm Aliah Karim Saindi, one of the Shura Council's founders, was killed in the outskirts of Jerusalem during the operation. The Shura Council has claimed responsibility for rocket attacks on Netivot last week.
On Friday night, IAF aircraft struck a terror site in the northern Gaza Strip, along with two terror bases in the strip's central region. Direct hits were confirmed at both locations, and Israeli aircraft involved in the mission returned safely to their bases.
The IDF will not tolerate any efforts to harm citizens or soldiers of the State of Israel, and will continue to act against those involved in terrorist activities against the Jewish state. The Hamas terrorist organization bears full responsibility for these recent incidents. |
