Source text - Italian Nelle macchine infornatrici di tipo convenzionale, l’alimentazione del materiale vetrificabile al forno fi fusione avviene in modo continuo o intermittente mediante versamento sulla superficie del vetro fuso, contenuto all’interno della vasca da forno di fusione, di materiale vetrificabile allo stato solido. Tale materiale è composto in genere da una miscela di sabbia, soda, marmo, dolomite, feldspato, componenti minori e e rottame di vetro e viene preparata in una apposito impianto a monte della macchina informatrice.
Il compito della macchina informatrice è quello di alimentare la vasca del forno di fusione con una quantità di materiale vetrificabile tale da mantenere costante il livello del vetro fuso. Il livello del vetro viene rilevato da appositi dispositivi i quali trasmettono un segnale elettrico che viene usato dai mezzi di controllo della macchina informatrice per variare la portata del materiale immesso nella vasca del forno.
Translation - English In the batch charger machine of conventional type, the feeding of the vitrifiable material to the tub of the furnace takes place in continuous or intermittent fashion by pouring the vitrifiable material in solid state on the molten glass surface. Such material is usually made of a mixture of sand, soda, marble, dolomite, feldspar, minor components and glass junk and is prepared in an appropriate system upstream the batch charger machine itself.
The batch charger machine task is to feed the tub of the furnace with an amount of vitrifiable material sufficient to maintain a constant level of the molten glass. The glass level is measured by specific devices transmitting an electric signal which is used by the control means of the batch charger machine to vary the quantity of material poured in the tub of the furnace.
