Due to limited network 3G capacity and increasing data traffic demand that grow every year, so it is predicted that overload traffic could happen on 3G networks. Furthermore, service quality enhancement will need a support of future technology with high speed specification. The technology designed to be capable to handling those problems is LTE. LTE (Long Term Evolution) is one of mobile broadband technology solutions which can fulfill people’s demand of reliable and high speed technology access. On the Other hand, it is also an opportunity for Indonesia telecommunication business player. Moreover, migration of TV analog to digital planning will create new prospect for the implementation of LTE technology using 700 MHz frequency where the radio wave can propagate farther than higher frequencies mostly currently in use. Migration of UMTS to LTE taking into account not only the capability to solve the demand of high speed service but also profitable in term of business. Two approaches are used, related to capacity and traffic. The investigation completed with techno-economy analysis, to obtain favorable condition for both technical and business aspects.
