I am a freelance translator and journalist with a master's degree and bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Gothenburg, and a bachelor's degree in physics from University College London.
As a journalist, I specialize in labor market issues as well as matters relating to student life and academia. I also maintain a strong interest in physics and the natural sciences.
Growing up in an international environment, I became fluent in English at an early age. From the age of ten until I graduated from high school it was the main language I used in school and with my friends. Apart from fluency in English and Swedish I have basic knowledge of Russian and French.
During my three years as a physics student in London I did my first work as a translator, transcribing and translating medical interviews from Swedish to English. I have since had many oppurtunities to discuss and proofread translations for family members who work as professional translators.
While studying journalism at the University of Gothenburg I further developed my skills in using the Swedish language - writing and editing texts in a variety of genres as well as producing work for broadcast media. |
