I am Stavroula Liakopoulou and I have been working as a translator since 2000, the year when I graduated from the University of Surrey, having obtained my Master's degree in Translation (Greek and English languages). Since then, I have been combining my interest in translation with English language classes that I have been giving here in Athens. I have worked as a full-time translator - interpreter for a Greek finance company (August 2001- November 2005) and since then I have been translating as a freelancer. My working experience as Head of the English Language Department at Mediterranean College (Athens, Greece, February 2005 - September 2009) has triggered my interest and love for Psychology and Business themes and translations on which I have been working all this time. I have also obtained my B.A. degree from the University of Hertfordshire in Linguistics and French (1996-1999). I am also fluent in French, being a holder of the Certificat and Sorbonne language certificates. |
