My name is Sunni Ku, and I am a freelance translator of Swedish, Chinese into English and vice versa. I offer a wide range of translation-related services, including original translation, editing and proofing, back-translation and back-editing, and translation verification. My experience is somewhat unique in that I am active in both the literary and technical translation worlds, including the middle ground of non-fiction literature. I have translated everything from kids’ comics, sci-fi, cookbook, Chinese food import standard, electronic manuals and subtitles for Japanese anime series.
I was born in Hong Kong, but moved to Sweden when I was 10 with my family. I graduated from University of Kristianstad in Sweden in 2011, with a bachelor degree of Business Administration and Economics. Meanwhile I also studied in Linguistics at Lund University for 1 year.
After I have completed my studies in Sweden I decided to come to Shanghai for work in 2012. Working now at a Swedish trading company but also as a part time translator/interpreter for events and exhibitions.
