Menteri BUMN Dahlan Iskan menilai Bandara Internasional I Gusti Ngurah Rai sebagai bandara terbaik se-Indonesia. Hal itu dinilai dari tingkat kesulitan pembangunan bandara.
"Baik dari sisi desain, pembangunan hingga sekuritinya, Bandara Ngurah Rai adalah bandara terbaik se-Indonesia," kata Dahlan saat mengecek pembangunan Bandara Ngurah Rai di Badung, Bali, Jumat (1/3/2013).
Menurut Dahlan, tingkat kesulitan pembangunan Bandara Ngurah Rai ini lebih sulit dibandingkan dengan Bandara Juanda Surabaya. Sebab, bandara ini dibangun di tengah bangunan bandara lama. Beda dengan Bandara Juanda yang dibangun di lahan baru.
Salah satu tingkat kesulitan pembangunan bandara di Bali ini adalah pembangunan bagian atap bandara berlantai tiga tersebut. Di atap ini akan ditaruh rangkaian baja dengan bentangan 60 meter. "Yang susah adalah atap ini dirancang di Surabaya, dibongkar, dikirim ke Bali terus dirancang lagi satu per satu," ujarnya.
Saat ini, pembangunan bagian atap bandara internasional sudah mencapai 70 persen. Namun, pembangunan bandara internasional ini secara keseluruhan baru 55 persen. Jika jadi, pembangunan bandara ini akan mampu menampung jumlah penumpang sebesar 25 juta orang pada 2025.
Saat ini, jumlah penumpang bandara ini sebesar 13,5 juta penumpang. "Kita optimistis bandara ini akan selesai pada Oktober 2013, tepat pelaksanaan APEC mendatang," ujarnya.

Yesterday (29/01/2013) railway related research institutions put forward their research & analysis of the urban rail industry in China. This research illustrated that the Chinese urban rail industry consists of three large corporations: Chinese North Railways (CNR), China South Locomotive (CSR) & the Beijing Subway Vehicular Equipment Company Ltd (BESVEC). Out of these three, CNR occupies 59% of the market share.
Last year, China’s urban rail industry amounted to a total worth of 23.892 billion Chinese Yuan with the three companies mentioned above taking almost complete ownership of the market. CNR had a 59% share, CSR took 35.4% & BESVEC took the smallest share at 5.2%. CNR’s share was valued at 14.162 billion, CSR at 8.48 billion & BESVEC’s share was valued at 1.25 billion.
It is understood that CNR’s winning of the Shenyang Subway Project, a project with a value of 50 billion, contributed to CNR’s domination of the market. This is in addition to the Shanghai Lines 3 & 4 project amounting to 1.722 billion & the Beijing Line 14 turnkey project, which was successfully tendered at 1.78 billion.
CSR won the bid for the Shenzhen Metro Line 1 project at the relatively high value of 1.526 billion. They also won the bid for the Hangzhou line 2 project with the bid coming in at 997 million.
To make a comparison with one of the smaller market contenders, last year, Jingdong Equipment Company (JEC) won only one bid for the entire financial year: the Beijing Line 7 Project worth a total of 1.25 billion.
