他是郭家铭，是个演员。也许一时叫不出的名字，但他的戏和角色只要你看过就会记住，记住戏中的他，想了解戏外的他。但是人生，又何尝不是一出戏呢。
Translation - English In 2000, if you had been to Beijing Hotel, you would have met a handsome young man playing piano in the hotel lobby. As his slender fingers smoothly ran through the piano keys, a beautiful melody just flowed through his fingertips.
He is Guo Jiaming, also an actor. Maybe his name slipped through your mind momentarily, but you would never forget those roles he played in movies once you set your eyes on them. The more you see him on the screen, the more likely you want to know what he is like in real life. But, come to think of it, life is, but a play.

Source text - English In the history of humanity, cities have been the most important innovation. They allowed a species that had inhabited our planet for over 2.5 million years – during which very long span of time it lived in small nomadic communities devoted to hunting and gathering wild berries and plants – to undergo rapid evolution. As a result, humans colonised the entire planet and dominated all other forms of life. Humanity has been through numerous periods during which there probably existed conditions favourable to stable farming and herding and thus the birth of sedentary settlements. However, it was only 5,500 years ago when farmers from Lower Mesopotamia realised that their food abundance had value and could become the object of trade in a place where everyone could meet and settle down. The decision to create urban settlements was not the result of spontaneous and unavoidable evolution. Rather, it was an intentional and extraordinary innovation that ushered in the greatest transformation in the history of humanity, one that lies at the heart of our civilisation. Without cities, neither the evolution of language nor the birth of writing would have been possible. Had cities not existed, knowledge would never have been expressed, described or spread in a systematic fashion.
