Source text - Polish Po chwili weszliśmy na ścieżkę z marmurowych płyt i szliśmy wzdłuż szpaleru cyprysowych drzewek. Z boku widać było piękne oleandry. Oranżeria była zbudowana w nowoczesnym stylu, wznosiła się na wysokość dwóch pięter, była pełna zakrzywionych linii i zwieńczona łukami. Fasadę zdobiły wąskie okna oraz niezliczone reliefy.
Translation - Italian Dopo un attimo entrammo in un sentiero di mattonelle di marmo costeggiato da una fila di alberelli di cipresso. Ai lati si vedevano degli oleandri bellissimi. La serra era costruita in uno stile moderno, si elevava su due piani, ricca di linee ondulate e rifinita con archi. La facciata era decorata da finestre strette e da svariati rilievi.

Source text - Polish Gdy weszłyśmy do środka, zdawało mi się, że łezki czarnej cieczy zaczęły wyciekać ze szczelin posadzki, a także kapać ze ścian. Ale to było jedynie złudzenie, tu po prostu było bardzo wilgotno. Siedziałam nieruchomo w fotelu, podczas gdy xxx robiła kawę. Miałam wrażenie, że dryfuję i że widzę za oknami coś w rodzaju drżących świateł. Wstałam z fotela i przeszłam przez pokój w kierunku zamkniętych drzwi. Zajrzałam przez dziurkę od klucza. To co zobaczyłam, zafascynowało mnie.
Translation - Italian Quando entrammo ebbi l’impressione che del liquido nero stesse uscendo a piccole dosi dalle fessure del pavimento e che stesse gocciolando anche dalle pareti. Invece era solamente un’illusione, c’era semplicemente molta umidità. Ero seduta immobile sulla poltrona mentre xxx preparava il caffè. Avevo l’impressione di andare alla deriva e di scorgere dalla finestra qualcosa come delle luci tremolanti. Mi alzai dalla poltrona e attraversai la stanza verso una porta chiusa. Diedi un’occhiata nella fessura della chiave. Ciò che vidi mi affascinò.

Bio
I’m Natalia Harbut and I’m a freelance translator/localizer, interpreter and reviewer from Polish/English to Italian and from English/Italian to Polish.
I was born in Poland and I have lived in Italy since I was a child, although I travel to Poland very often. I’m bilingual, even if I feel Italian language more active and complete. This is why I consider Italian my mother tongue.
In 2013 I got a master’s degree in Modern Languages, Literatures and Translation Studies (English/Polish) at Sapienza University of Rome, where in 2010 I graduated in Languages and Intercultural Studies (English/Polish).
I studied at Jagiellonian University of Krakow during a Summer School in 2008 and I went there with my Erasmus Lifelong Learning Programme in 2009-2010 (Languages and Philological Sciences).
Since 2010 I have been working for Con Senso Translating Company of Lublin (Poland), as a occasional in-house translator/reviewer, mainly of literary texts, from Polish to Italian. I translated also an audiovisual product (from English/Polish to Italian) for a theatre of Rome and I had some experience in software localization (from English to Italian), when I worked at the Finsol Information Technology Company of Palestrina (Rome).
Thanks to my personal background, my studies and some experience, I offer very good translation/interpreting services from Polish to Italian (highest quality) and vice versa, as well as good translations from English, my passive language, to Italian/Polish.
I love arts, history and linguistics, so I’m always very excited to work in these fields, in which I specialize as well, as they were the main subjects of my education. Indeed, my master degree dissertation was about theatrical translation. However, I’m generally very curious and quite creative, therefore I like translating varied kinds of texts and my hallmarks could be useful in different areas of interest, such as marketing and public relations.
I have also an intermediate level of German (certificate ZD) and French (certificate DELF).
I can use CAT Tools, such as Passolo and SDL Trados.
The rates I provided could vary depending on the project.
