Source text - Korean 유년 시절부터, 나는 학교보다는 새상이 어떻게 돌아가는 지에 대해 더 많은 관심이 있었다. 이것이 바로 내가 대학교를 들어간지 2주만에 그것이 시간낭비라고 생각하고 내 친구들과 함께 비즈니스를 시작한 이유이다. 그때 나는 어렸고 충분한 자본도 없었다. 그 사업은 많은 전문적 기술을 요구했고 나는 충분한 지식을 갖추지 못했었다. 물론 내 열정은 엄청나게 컸지만, 나의 더욱 커지는 자본, 경험, 그리고 사업 감각의 제한은 결국 극복할수 없는 장애물이 되고 말았다. 나는 쓰지만 값진 경험을 얻게 되었다. 나는 지식과 경험이 얼마나 중요한지를 깨닫게 되었다. 나는 학교로 돌아갔고 열심히 공부했다.
Translation - English Since my youth, I was more interested in how the world operates than in school. This is the reason that two weeks into college, I started a business with my friends rather than pursue what was, in my mind, a waste of time. I was young at the time, and did not have sufficient capital. The business required many technological skills, and I lacked enough knowledge. Although, my passion was blindingly prodigious, my burgeoning limitations - capital, experience, and business acumen – eventually amounted to a hurdle too large to overcome. I learned a bitter, but also valuable lesson. I realized how important knowledge and education are. I returned to school and studied doggedly.

Accelerated Durability Testing was performed to meet the objective of FDA 1545 “Non-Clinical Tests and Recommended Labeling for Intravascular Stents and Associated Delivery Systems” requirements for in vitro mechanical fatigue testing. Fatigue testing was performed to demonstrate durability of the 3.5x25mm Shield when subject to 40 million cycles of simulated physiological conditions. A 3.5x25mm Shield was chosen for this test since it was determined to be the worst case mean and cyclic strain condition in the finite element analysis. This testing was performed in 37C saline in a curved radius of 15 mm to simulate an equivalent 1year life test.

I am a Korean-American U.S. citizen living in Seattle, USA with a passion and knack for languages. I am 34 years-old (as of 2014), and immigrated to America when I was 2. Despite leaving Korea at such a tender age, my fluency in the Korean language continued to develop while living in Seattle. My first experiences of interpreting and translating were for my parents who were non-native speakers of English. This extended to helping my Korean-speaking parents and English-speaking siblings understand each other, then eventually, to communicating with business professionals related to my parents' line of work. I attended a private school from grade school to high school, obtaining a rigorous English language and literature-based background. In 2002, I graduated from the University of Washington, Seattle, with a B.A. in English. My English language skills were further honed and sharpened by attending law school at Willamette University in Oregon. I have many years of experience translating and interpreting, including a few years of professional-level experience through private tutoring of business professionals; working at a pro bono legal clinic serving purely Korean-speaking clients; working at law firms with Korean clients; and translation experiences ranging from simple translations of brochures, college admissions essays, graduate-level essays and theses, to business and legal contracts. My speaking fluency and authenticity of sound is on par with native Korean speakers; I have no accents in either language. I am currently writing a novel in collaboration with my husband.
