I have worked as a translator for almost 22 years since 2000. I worked as a translation manager for one year and as a quality assurance manager for two years in the software localization department of Prolangs, co., ltd. During the period, I translated and localized software products and manuals from many famous IT companies like Oracle, Novell, Nortel, Hewlett Packerd, Kodak, Sun, Samsung, LG, etc.
After I quit Prolangs in Apr. 2003, I worked as a freelance translator for about 3 years. During the period, I mainly translated software and IT-related materials as well as technical documents.
In Nov. 2006, I entered Latis Global Communications, co., ltd. and worked as a linguist there. In Latis Global Communications, I was involved in the translation and review of online game content, technical documents, IT-related documents and medical and pharmaceutical documents. The online games I translated include AION: The Tower of Eternity, Archlord, Red Stone, Knight Online, etc. Also, I translated pharmaceutical documents from Korea Food and Drug Administration as well as technical/IT-related documents from several famous companies like Samsung, LG, Hyundai and Siemens.
I have good command of colloquial and literary English and experience in English-to-Korean and Korean-to-English translations. Also, I can use several software localization tools such as SDL Studio, MemoQ, Passolo, etc. I am versatile in PC usage and can use MS-word, Excel, Powerpoint, Adobe Reader, Adobe Photoshop, etc. If you entrust me with your documents, I will do my best to produce the best quality translation utilizing my translation/localization skills that I have acquired for the past 22 years. |
