Bio
Having been born in Luxembourg, I have acquired a spoken and written fluency in English, German, French and Luxembourgish.
This gave me the opportunity to move to various countries and develop my linguistic skills by communicating with the various cultures that I lived with.
After getting my first job as a German Localisation Specialist for a major video games corporation, I was able to improve my German and English skills to a very high standard, being able to translate, edit and proofread on a professional basis in either of those languages very comfortably.

I was involved and am credited for German language work in the following projects:

In addition, I provided credited translation and proofreading work for the following mobile projects:

As well as the Rockstar Games Social Club website, and the Rockstar Games Support website.

Having worked in a highly competitive and very fast paced market for 5 years now, I have acquired a crucial skillset that makes me able to hit deadlines with ease.
Due to my experience, I was given the opportunity to write the German translation test that would measure the skills of new applicants, and said test is now being used as a standard for examining potential new hires.
I have also had the privilege of working with all of the new video game systems, ranging from Microsoft over Sony to Apple and Android products, which granted me an in-depth knowledge of the standard terminology each platform has to conform to.

My knowledge of various translation, website, debug and office tools has dramatically improved as well, to the point where I was able to teach new starters at the company.

Some of my interests include video games, journalism, film, music, fitness, and new technology (for instance, I'm the proud owner of an Oculus Rift CV1 as well as an HTC Vive).

I have both contributed articles to a paper and hosted several radio shows.

Currently working as a self-employed freelance translator, mostly translating English into German and almost exclusively working in the video game field. During this period I have been able to very quickly amass a very stable client base, as well as learn the ins and outs of the freelance translation business.

I have gained an in-depth knowledge of the invaluable Trados and MemoQ programs, which proved to be a vital asset for the quick and reliable completion of my numerous assignments.

My various clients include to this day:
Pole to Win (Two major video game projects as principal German translator)
Aeria Games (A variety of video game projects as part of a team of translators)
Ampersand (A variety of indie video game projects as principal German translator and proofreader)
MoGi Translations (A variety of video game projects as German translator and proofreader)
