I've been a translator for the past 12 years.
I specialize in translating texts in the areas of business, economics, finance, telecommunications and IT.
I also have experience in translating various texts in the fields of automobile; insurance; medicine; health care;
law; marketing; construction and so forth.
I was born in Korea, but lived outside of the country during most of my childhood.
I attended international school for seven years.
I transferred to a Japanese high school after graduating from international school to go to a Japanese university.
I majored in international business administration, and moved to Korea upon graduation.
I worked for a Japanese trading company performing sales assistance, overseas marketing and
interpretation/translation (English/Japanese/Korean) for two and a half years.
Then I entered the Graduate School of Interpretation and Translation at the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies,
and completed a master’s degree in interpretation/translation from English to Korean and vice versa.
Thereafter, I worked for the biggest telecom company in Korea for two years performing interpretation/translation
related to network solution/system, network design, network deployment, 2G to 3G migration, managed service/consulting,
exhibition (Mobile World Congress), benchmarking, app/platform manuals and etc (English/Japanese/Korean).
After that, I worked at a public institution for almost a year translating for Vice President,
who was the Korean member of the Standard Management Board (SMB).
Most of my translation work at the institution was related to international conferences held by the SMB.
I also did some translation related to the standardization and measurement/metrology of Korea.

私は韓国で生まれ小学校3年の時から父の仕事のため、海外のインターナショナルスクールに通いました。
最初の4年半は神戸にあるカナディアン・アカデミーで4年半勉強しました。
そして違う国でインターナショナルスクールを卒業した後、日本に戻り、豊田市所在の南山国際高等学校を卒業しました。
その後、南山大学の経営学部経営学科国際コースに進学し、卒業しました。
専攻の授業がほとんど英語で行われ、そのころから授業のために英語から日本語、日本語から英語に時々翻訳をしました。
卒業後韓国に戻り、日本４大商社の韓国法人で2年半働きました。
会社では、日本の取引先に出張に行った際、シンガポール支社から来られた社員たちのために日英通訳をしたり、
会社に訪れた来客の通訳をしたり、日本語から韓国語・韓国から日本語・日本語から英語・英語から日本語の翻訳を行いました。
そして本社とのやり取りも多かったため、日本語でドキュメントを作成することもたくさんありました。
退職後、韓国外大通翻訳大学院の韓英科に進学し、修了しました。
その後、韓国最大のテレコム会社で2年間情報通信ネットワークに関する英語・日本語・韓国語の通訳・翻訳 を行いました。
退職後、某公共機関で標準管理評議会（SMB：Standardization Management Board）のメンバーである副会長の直属で、
SMBが主催する国際会議に関するドキュメントの翻訳（英↔韓）、韓国の標準化及び計量測定に関する翻訳（英↔韓）を行いました。
フリーランス通訳・翻訳は１１年近くやっており、現在はフルタイムでやっております。
専門分野は経済、金融、IT、情報通信ですが、それ以外の分野でも可能です。
