You are being asked to participate in this study because you are post-menopausal and have low bone mineral density. In addition, you must not have taken any drugs that have an effect on bone metabolism within the last 6 weeks. If you have questions about whether or not you have taken these kinds of drugs, you should ask your study doctor. If you have had bisphosphonates in the past, you have gone the minimum time without taking them to participate in the study (your doctor will ask you detailed questions about your past use of these drugs to determine your eligibility). Additionally, you do not have any conditions that might affect bone metabolism such as rheumatoid arthritis, Paget’s disease, or other diseases of this type.
If you agree to be in this study, you will be one of about 7200 people who will participate in this study at about 170 clinics in the United States, Europe, Canada, South America, Central America, Mexico, and Australia.
If it is determined that you are eligible to be in this trial, you will be randomly assigned (like flipping a coin) to receive one of two treatment options. You will receive either:
1. 60 mg AMG 162 subcutaneous (under the skin) injection one time every 6 months, or;
2. a placebo (non-active substance such as a salt solution) subcutaneous (under the skin) injection one time every 6 months
AMG 162 or placebo is given as one subcutaneous (under the skin) injection. You will also be provided with calcium and vitamin D supplements which you will take every day.
You will be randomized by chance to receive study drug or placebo. Your doctor will not be able to choose which treatment you will receive. You will have a fifty-fifty chance of receiving study drug (AMG 162).

Day 2: City Tour of Turin & The Great Synagogue [est. 1880]
Our fascinating visit includes Castello del Valentino a UNESCO world heritage site, Automobile museum of Torino, & The Great Synagogue of Turin. An important business and cultural center in northern Italy, Turin is the capital of the Piedmont region known for its numerous art galleries, restaurants, palaces, opera houses, piazzas, parks, gardens, theatres, libraries, museums. Turin's monuments and sights make it one of the world's top tourist destinations often referred to as the Capital of the Alps.
The National Automobile Museum contains a collection of over 200 automobiles which bear witness to the evolution of the car from its origins to the 1980s. The collection includes the first Italian cars, 1896 Bernardi,

Euros. In 20 minutes, the cable car takes you 2000 meters from the base of the valley to Punta Helbronner, where a magnificent, 360˚ panoramic terrace taking in views of the glaciers and grand peaks of the whole of the Alpine arc, an utterly idyllic landscape, awaits you!
Optional Nature Trek of 6km with 400mtrs of elevation, beautiful trail and magnificent views, approx. walking time of 2.5hrs for those of you who are fit and enjoy the outdoors!
Day 4: Lake Geneva, Montreux, Switzerland & Chamonix, France
We will go back in time and visit Chillon Castle, an architectural jewel located in the most beautiful setting imaginable on the shores of Lake Geneva. From Montreux we board the Rochers de Naye cogwheel train and enjoy the unique panorama overlooking Lake Geneva and the Alps.
Take a walk to the summit, visit Marmot’s Wildlife Paradise or visit the Rambertia Alpine Gardens situated above Montreux with over 800 alpine plants from around the world. After our
train ride down, we cross the French border to Chamonix, and finish the day with a relaxing 2.5km [90min] nature walk in the Gorges De La Diosaz.

The shotgun fired through the iron cages, as twenty-one horses tore through the air that had gone stale as the announcer called the riders to stand in position until the signal to leap was fired. Together with thousands of frenzied spectators, Johnny jumped into position: Run ..." he cried at a deafening rate – that left no doubt about the hundreds of thousands of dollars that were at stake. But not the thousands nor the hundreds of thousands will pull Johnny from the tremendous tension he is in. Horse Number Seventeen is the “lucky winner” – why John knew that three days ago. “How funny it all is” he thought to himself – people out there believing in luck…stupid folk not realizing that money was the ruling power of the game. Number Seventeen was bought by the Mob Chief specializing in taking over real estate deals that were on the verge of bankruptcy, or how do you put it – real estate transactions which contractors who have purchased the rights to construct preferred their life and sold out to “Set You Free Constructions” owned by none other than Steve Jones – the white-collar businessman. Johnny knows about these thing from his partner who helps him run the little coffee chain “Joe’s Coffee – James on Fire”.
The gross profit Johnny is about to make is lucrative – he’s going to bet the winning horse comes to about a tenth of his profit off the gambling fees made by his clients who are now watching the race on big giant screens at the bars of his many franchises…all of them – addicted to the horror, addicted to the failure, addicted to their bad habits and rooted to power and bravado. Johnny’s just having some fun – he’s got about seventy-four million big ones waiting for him in his private account – white trash. Clean money. Legal. Yeah…life’s a problem… “Number Seventeen” he hears… Who would have thought: in one brilliant move the rider rode his horse to the inner track, the road just opened to his spectacular victory…? Each rider leaves this race with three beautiful and black evil million bucks, but horse rider number Seventeen will receive, how much? Five million.
Steve Jones grossed over $ 200 million having spent forty-three-million and one brief phone call that left nothing to doubt to one of the track owners here in Los Angeles.
