이 강좌는 5개의 모듈로 구성되어 있습니다. 첫 번째 주제는 핵반응입니다.
핵분열반응, 핵융합반응, 달리 얘기하면 원자폭탄의 원리, 수소폭탄의 원리가 어떻게 되는지 나눠보고요. 평화적으로 이용하는 원자력발전은 어떤 원리에 의해서 물리적인 현상에 대해서 공부해보겠습니다.
원자력 반응에서는 막대한 양의 열과 함께 방사선이 많이 분출되는데 우리 원자력발전에 과연 안전하다고 할 수 있는지, 무엇이 위험요소인지 같이 공부해 볼 예정입니다.

Nuclear energy has many different attributes. This lecture is made of 5 modules. The first topic we will discuss is nuclear reaction.
We will discuss nuclear fission. In other words, we will discuss the fundamentals of atomic bombs and hydrogen bombs. Then we will learn about the peaceful use of nuclear energy.
During a nuclear reaction, an enormous amount of heat and radioactive rays are produced. Then, is nuclear power safe? What are the dangers of nuclear power?

유엔은 실제 인권에 대해 정의를 내리고 있지 않습니다. 인권의 무궁무진한 잠재력을 단지 몇 개의 단어로써 표현할 수 있는 것은 어렵다는 생각 때문입니다. 하지만 세계인권선언의 전문에서 이야기 하고 있듯이 크게 3가지 원칙에 대해 이야기 하고 있습니다. 천부적이며, 불가양적이고 만인공유라는 원칙을 천명하고 있습니다. 더 나아가 인권에 있어서 가장 중요한 두 가지 원칙은 자유, 그리고 평등이라고 할 수 있습니다.
인간에게 주어진 권리, 인간이기에 인간답게 살기 위해 가질 수 있는 권리로써의 인권, 그 내용에 대해서 보다 자세히 살펴보도록 하죠. 먼저 세계인권선언에 대해 이야기를 나눌 수 있도록 하겠습니다. 현대 국제 인권법의 시작은 세계인권선언이라고 합니다. 세계인권선언은 1948년 12월 10일 유엔 총회 결의로 채택이 되었습니다. 세계인권선언은 유엔 총회 결의로 채택되었기 때문에 비록 법적 구속력을 갖고 있지는 않지만 오늘날 관습국제법으로써 널리 인정을 받고 있습니다. | Translation - English
The United Nations does not actually define human rights, because it is so hard to represent the infinite potential of human rights with few words. However, in the text of the “Universal Declaration of Human Rights”, human rights is to be inherent, inalienable, and equal. Furthermore, the most important two principles in human rights are freedom and equality. Let’s find out in more detail about rights to which a person is inherently entitled because he or she is a human being.
Firstly, I would like to talk about the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It is said to be the origin of modern international human rights law. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 10 December 1948, and thus, the declaration is not, in itself, a legally binding instrument but it is believed to part of customary international law of today. |

Tax Avoidance and Future Profitability
Abstract:
Do firm managers invest the savings from tax avoidance in positive net present value projects that enhance future profitability or divert them towards perquisite consumption, rent extraction, and value destroying projects? We indirectly investigate this question by testing whether tax avoidance moderates the association between current and future profitability. Consistent with the negative implications of tax avoidance (e.g. rent extraction) we document that, on average, the
main components of current profitability: margins, utilization of assets and operating liability leverage, result in lower future profitability for tax aggressive firms as compared to firms that are not tax aggressive. Further, the negative effect of lower margins is more robust and persistent than the impact of inefficient asset utilization and operating liability leverage. These results persist in various contexts that mitigate or exacerbate rent extraction, such as the existence of
foreign operations, better governance structure, more transparency, industry leadership position, and across corporate life cycle stages. | Translation - Korean
