Sample translations submitted: 1 Korean to English: 낙화 Falling Flowers Source text - Korean
Translation - English
How beautiful is the parting
Of one who knows exactly
When to leave
My love is withering
After enduring the passion of
The peak of spring
Fluttering falling flowers
Now is the time to leave
Amid parting blessing
My youth is dying like flowers
Falling toward rich green and
Autumn, which will
Soon bear fruit
Let us part
On a day when flowers fall, petal by petal
Waving their delicate hands
My love, my farewell
My soul's sad eyes
Maturing like water welling in a fountain
(Poem "Falling Flowers" by Lee Hyung Ki in 1957 when he was 25)
