I am a translator (Polish>English and English>Polish), proofreader and lecturer.
I started my career in 2002 as an English teacher, but with time I moved away from teaching and translation has become the main field of my activity.
I've got MA in English studies (American literature) obtained at the University of Warsaw, Faculty of Modern Languages, Institute of English Studies and a postgraduate diploma in innovation management awarded by the Warsaw School of Economics, Management and Finance Faculty.
I work at a research institute and have vast experience in translation of scientific and technical articles (particularly on management, education, biotechnologies, mechatronics and prototyping), but I've also translated numerous marketing and promotional materials, project documentation, photo albums and popular science publications.
Apart from translating, I also teach English to my co-workers and the CEO of the institute, and I am the author and co-author of scientific papers (both in Polish and English) concerning commercialisation of research results (published in form of articles in scientific journals or conference materials, or as chapters of monographs).
In October 2015 I started postgraduate studies in specialist translation: certified and legal translation at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Warsaw. |
